Starting as a fascination of my sisters, we would buy their CDs, go to their concerts, etc. In high school, me (piano) and my sister (drums) would be apart of a few bands playing RHCP songs like Californication and By The Way. Linkin Park was influenced by Radiohead in terms of their musical direction and approach. Radiohead, which was focusing more on evolving rock and creating new elements. While in the interview the interviewer mentioned Led Zeppelin, Smith clarified that it was in fact Hendrix's song that inspired "Breaking The Girl" (Scapelliti, 2016).
