Open minded

This is showing that the he is so open to every thing in his life that he is not your "normal "teenager his parents even were indifferent about how he was so open to others religions that he wants to do all the other things that he wants to do

He is vary open to others and how they are and how he is Religos and all around him there is temptation

This is showing how he is wanting to learn more and more about how other religions are and how he is so open to other s  belifes

his father is talking to Pi about how is son is wanting to be baptized and wants a prayer rug and he is telling him why he cant and why he should not but his son is telling him diffrneny and how he should only be one religion

He is close minded because he is not letting his son do what ever he feals like he wants to do and Pi dose not want to conforme  to the people around him

He is going to sell all the animals and then the family is going to move to another countey to help there family to succed and be better in this world with the government take over in the country at the time.

he is showing that he is caring to pull up his roots and move to another country and sell the zoo he loves just like the rest of the family

Pi is crossed between a rock and a hard place thought out the story he was with a teacher he had at the zoo and he had told him that "Religion I don't believe in Religion. Religion is darkness."(26) and when he had herd that he was astonished and had never met ant one like him. then through the book he finds him self getting more and more into the depth of religion and how every one is around it and how the other people In this world believe in. He had told his father "Because I love God"(72) this is showing that he is able to over come how other had treated him around believing in others and why cant they believe in him.

Interptaion

Pi is told all arounf that "God is dead" in fact no he is not and the proof is in him the way that he is and how he can respect others and how they are and what they stand for.
