Valentines Day is a wonderful time to celebrate love, friendship and kindness.

How would you welcome this special day in your classroom by partaking in Valentine-related classroom activities? <3

Firatly I'm a sucker for valentines day as my surname is Valentine soo of course I must go way out on this day as a teacher! I'd decorate my class I will let my learners draw names and buy gifts to the name they chose. We can all bring sweets and drinks and have a ball to celebrate love and togetherness

A Note of Kindness

Valentine’s Day is about being kind to one another. Have students pick their classmates’ names from a jar, and write a brief note of kindness telling them all of the things that they like about that student. Then, you can either post the notes on your bulletin board, or create a kindness tree using clothes pins to clip each kind note to the tree.

Everyone should feel special on Valentines

Valentines day is about sharing love, kindness and friendship. As a teacher I would spread cheer by decorating the classroom in bright colours and I would have something similar to "secret santa" where the learners have to draw names from a hat. The learners would be instructed to write a letter to their chosen person, stating what they like about that person and why they think the person is special. I would supply small chocolates for each learner to gift with their card in order for everyone to receive a sweet treat without having to worry about funds.

The day of love💝💝💝

As a future teacher, I think that is important that we make learners aware of the true essense of February the 14th.

I would personally use this an opportunity to do reserach, convey the information to my learners and make practical examples by making reference to different concepts of love. For example God is the centre of love and He is in fact love. So I would transform the presentation into something religious which will not only be encouraging to learners but also help them spread love daily. Lastly I would create a fun experience by perhaps having a raffle or gift draw for learners to get each other something small but special such a pen, candy, hair accessory or even soap.
