         <description><![CDATA[<p>A bidirectional relationship exists between mental and physical health, known as the mind-body connection. In particular, the gut-brain axis enables the gut microbiome to influence brain function, and vice versa. This interaction means that nutritional deficiencies can impact mental health and brain function, as well as physical health.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>All organs require adequate nutritional intake to function normally, to which the brain is no exception. Diet therefore plays a vital role in mental health, mood, cognitive function and emotional management. B vitamins such as folate, B12 and B6, vitamin D, iron, selenium, zinc and magnesium are particularly important in regards to mental health, as deficiencies have been linked to psychopathologies and worsening of symptoms.</p>]]></description>
