1. I commit to put my best foot forward and finish the semester with the same energy I started it with. I liked the idea in Kelly Gallagher's "The Golden Line" that the goal in education is that everyone improves. If I continue to put effort in throughout the semester, I will become more knowledgeable and overall improve as a student, an educator, and a human.

1. I commit to always help you succeed -- As Kelly Gallagher says, improvement is an important part of a grade. Students should be scored in improvement instead of a scale.

Students do not come to your class with the same amount of education or experience because perspective effects how we learn. How can I grade students on the same scale if they are different?

2.
