         <description><![CDATA[<div>Ibn Qayyim al-Jawziyya had a close relationship with his teacher, Ibn Taymiyyah. Ibn Qayyim was a devoted student of Ibn Taymiyyah and held him in high esteem. He studied under him and benefited greatly from his knowledge and guidance.</div><div><br></div><div>Ibn Qayyim considered Ibn Taymiyyah as his spiritual and intellectual mentor. He was deeply influenced by Ibn Taymiyyah's teachings, methodologies, and scholarship. Ibn Qayyim often referred to Ibn Taymiyyah's works and incorporated his ideas into his own writings.</div><div><br></div><div>During Ibn Taymiyyah's periods of imprisonment, Ibn Qayyim actively supported him. He visited him in prison and maintained a strong connection with him despite the challenges and restrictions faced by Ibn Taymiyyah. Ibn Qayyim worked tirelessly to preserve and disseminate Ibn Taymiyyah's teachings and writings, ensuring that his ideas would continue to have an impact.</div><div><br></div><div>The relationship between Ibn Qayyim and Ibn Taymiyyah was characterized by mutual respect, intellectual camaraderie, and a shared commitment to the pursuit of Islamic knowledge. Ibn Qayyim's close association with Ibn Taymiyyah played a significant role in shaping his own scholarly development and the dissemination of their combined teachings.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Name "al-Jawziyyah" is the name of one of the schools in Damascus "دمشق". He Studied under his father who was the local attendant at Al-Jawziyya School. Later on, he pursued his quest for knowledge at the hands of renowned masters and scholars of his epoch, as well as he studied the works and teachings of sufi masters known in his time. His schooling centered around Islamic jurisprudence, theology, and the science of prophetic traditions.<br><br>When he reaches 7 years old, he started reading and examine hadiths and other knowledges. Around that age too, he started reading, understanding and study Juzu' from the al-Quran related to dream interpretation from his teacher, Syihabuddin al-Abir. He also mastered in Nahu and other arabic knowledge from his teacher, Abu al-Fath al Ba'labakki.<br><br>Ibn Rajab (4/44) said,<br><br></div><blockquote>He had deep knowledge concerning <em>tafseer </em>and the fundamentals of the religion, reaching the highest degree concerning them both. Similar was the case in the ﬁeld of hadith, with regards to understanding its meanings, subtleties and deducing rulings from them. Likewise was the case in the ﬁeld of <em>ﬁqh </em>and its <em>usul</em>, as well as the Arabic language. He did a great service to these sciences. He was also knowledgeable about rhetoric, grammar, and <em>suluk </em>as well as the subtleties and details that occur in the speech of the people of <em>tasawwuf</em>.</blockquote><div><br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Ibn al-Qayyim al-Jawziyyah was born in a small farming village&nbsp; (the village of Zar’) near Damascus, Syria in 691 A.H./1292 C.E.<br>From an early age he set about acquiring knowledge of the Islamic sciences from the scholars of his time. Describing his desire for knowledge, <em>al-Haﬁdh</em> Ibn Rajab said,<br><br></div><blockquote>He had an intense love for knowledge, for books, publications and writings.</blockquote><div><br>Ibn Kathir said,<br><br></div><blockquote>He acquired from such books what others could not acquire, and he developed a deep understanding of the books of the <em>Salaf </em>and of the <em>Khalaf</em>.</blockquote>]]></description>
