Light or radiant energy is created by the sun. The term "light" usually refers to visible light that you are able to see with the human eye. However, that is not the case, all types of electromagnetic radiation have energy. What I mean by that is that it is not just the visible light that has energy. It can be infrared, radio waves, UV, and x-rays are all other types of light or radiant energy.

Electrical energy is carried by charged particles called electrons. In other words, this is called electricity. Charged particles can build up and when this happens this is called static electricity like when your dry dry-fit clothes feel like they stick to your skin. It moves through a path called a circuit to be able to do things like charge electronics or help lights turn on and off. This can happen only when it is connected to something like a computer.

Sound energy is carried by something called a sound wave so people can hear. A sound wave is a longitudinal wave that travels THROUGH matter so that it can get where it wants to go. Sound waves are created when an object vibrates and that happens because vibrating objects make sound, creating sound energy. A cool thing about sound is that it can travel through solids, liquids, and gases which how you can hear through walls sometimes and that how you can hear underwater.

The law of conservation of energy states that energy can not be created or destroyed but it can change forms. This means that it can transform into other types of energy and it can transfer to other objects but it can not be destroyed. You can't break apart energy or make energy. This means that if waste energy is let off then it is absorbed by it's surroundings like air absorbs some waste energy. Energy can be transferred between people, or from people to objects. These examples all illustrate the law of conservation of energy.

For example, in the picture, radiant energy is transferred to heat which is transferred to producers which are then transferred to consumers then decomposers, and then back to heat or thermal energy. Also, Picking up an heavy box that weighs half as you, Takes a lot of energy, Your potential energy gets released to kinetic energy. And your using all your energy into that one box your lifting.

Thermal energy is based on a change of temperature, Thermal energy is when the molecules go from slow as a sloth/barely moving to fast, so if it's cold the molecules will freeze in place, and when it's hot the molecules are going fast. Like as if your boiling water the molecules are going crazy fast, but as soon as you put it in the freezer or someplace cold the molecules will start to slow down and freeze up a little.

Mechanical energy is also used for like example: A bicycle has mechanical energy since it has motion and it is moving. And also, it physically changes something like a piece of paper being ripped, because your moving and physically doing something. Basically the energy of either an object in motion or the energy that is stored in objects by their position.

Energy transformation is when one type of energy turns into another. For example, when sunlight lets off radiant energy and it goes onto a solar panel it turns into electrical energy which can turn into light energy again or it can be turned into things like mechanical energy and things like that. Energy transformation is basically just transferring energy to another object or plant. Another example is when the wind turns a wind turbine it goes from mechanical energy (from the wind) to electrical and after that, that electrical energy can be turned into thermal, light, and other things because you can turn on the light or do something like boil water.

Mechanical helps us move, electrical helps us use computers, phones and all technology, sound helps us hear things, thermal helps things with temperature, light helps us see and helps us create more electricity or electrical energy, and chemical gives us humans energy.

Solar panels take the energy from the sun and turn it into electrical energy which can power everyday things. Another thing that can back up this claim is "The Law of Conservation of Energy" which states that energy can not be created or destroyed but it can change forms which clearly shows that it can change. Another example is when you charge a laptop or an iPad or an iPhone and that changes from electrical to mechanical by you because you are using it.

This is an example of energy flow because it has 1 energy that can transform into multiple. The chemical energy transformed from chemical energy all the way to thermal energy. This is energy flow.
