A characteristic feature about cuckoo bird is that it lays its eggs in the nest of other birds.
Though the bird is dark in colour it never fails to mesmerise us with its sweet voice and its fun to imitate the distinctive 'cu-ckoo' sound to keep hearing his sweet voice again and again.

Bird Species: Lesser Sand Plover  (Charadrius mongolus) is a small wader in the plover family of birds.
I was mystified by their quickness and ability to take off and land in fraction of seconds.  
These species of birds I traced them on Mukkam Suruchibaug, Arnala grampanchyat. They are also found on Bhuigoan beach and other Vasai beaches.
The chunky plover is a longed legged and long billed. The Blue Mormon is a large Swallowtail butterfly found in India and Srilanka. It is the state butterfly of the Indian State of Maharashtra. It is reportedly the second largest Butterfly found in India. Males have the upper wings rich velvety black. The underside is black and on the base of the cell in the forewing is an elongate spot of dark red.
