Evidence:  In the scene where his 95 theses were nailed onto the Wittenberg Church, a guy grabbed the 95 theses and used the printing press to make more copies of the 95. When those copies were given out, the whole town of Wittenberg was on Luther's side, causing a revolution.

Explain: This evidence explains how Luther's 95 theses ignited the flame of the Protestant reformation when it was spread throughout the entire town of Wittenberg, allowing Luther to gain a following.

Link: When people read Martin Luther's 95 Theses, it caused a difference of ideology which foreshadows Martin Luther being tried in Worms for his 95 Theses.

E:In the scene when Martin Luther is leading Mass and telling people about indulgences, he convinces dozens of people that they don't work. He also convinces them to have faith in God and to trust him instead of fear him because he is almighty and merciful.
E:This evidence shows how with little popularity only spread through part of Germany and his community including the church he impacted and threatened the corruption of the church. He was able to later convince many as a result of being rebellious and old-fashioned he started one of the biggest evolution in religious and Catholic history.
L:His courage to step up and speak about what was wrong and to restore the faith of many forced the people and the church to open their eyes and see what was wrong.

E: This is apparent throughout multiple occasions of the movie. Specifically the fact that his ideology dealt with being direct and only pertaining to the means of the bible, which is his conservative side, but also that he was going against the church, which was his revolutionist side. 
E: He made it clear that the base of his meaning was to stay true to the scriptures and Jesus, he was just against the ideas that the church were spreading, the abuse of their power, and the misinterpretation of the bible that he so strictly followed. 
L:By sticking it out throughout the hassle people gave him he managed to live the rest of his life successfully and became a very important part of modern history.

E: In the scene where the pope was influencing the people to burn the 95 theses most of the people that were in the crowd decided not to burn them and that they were supporting him and his reasoning. The Church knew that he was on to something and they also knew that the indulgences were not real and only used them to get money from the people. 
E: This evidence shows that with a little understanding and seeing others people views and beliefs of things that you are not sure about can change your view or perspective of something religious. And the spread of beliefs can spread around quickly.

E:What Luther was saying was against what the church believed and she still listened to him. He was changing the  peoples minds and their beliefs and it was spreading.

E: Martin Luther singlehandedly changed the minds of hundreds of thousands in the court scene Luther wasnt afraid to admit he was in the right and almost everyone agreed.
E: This shows that he wasnt afraid to act upon his thoughts. Ever since he went to Rome hes been wanting to change the church. He did take action after seeing all the people being taken advantage of.
L: He caused many people to open their eyes and figure out that they were being scammed.

E: There was a scene in the movie where Luther was talking to Cardinal Cajetan and didn't want anything but the truth and for the church to tell the people what they were up to. "If common people could read the Bible for themselves, they would understand just how broad the church's interpretations are." (Luther)
E: That is why the Bible is now in most of the languages so that religious people from anywhere could read the Bible and praise it. Back then, it was different, no one couldn't read the Bible unless they could read latin which was terrible.
L:His actions changed a lot of religious things into what they are now.

E: Towards the beginning of the film, Luther visits Rome. He soon finds out that the Catholic Church  is selling indulgences and he was not having any of that. Soon after, he writes the 95 theses. People soon then crowd around the door Luther placed the 95 Theses on and begin to realize what the Church is doing. People, in term, begin going against the church's doings and the Catholic Church ended up selling less indulgences than what they were selling before Luther came around.
E:  Luther was known as a common German monk by how people didn't care about him. But then, he found a problem as to what the Catholic Church  was up to. He wrote the 95 Theses and all of the sudden, people ended up agreeing with what his work had to say about the church. So he alone, made many upon many people see what's wrong. Then it made those same people go against the church by not buying the indulgences. So if Luther wasn't around, no one would have seen a problem as to what was going on.  
L:  Luther did what he thought was right and in term, ended up affecting many other people's life in the long term due to his actions. He was brave for what he's done especially in his time period, and there should be more people just like Martin Luther.

E: From the beginning of the movie, Luther was seeing what the church was doing. He saw the wrong in the churches actions. The church was selling indulgences , he had to do something about it to change what they were doing. He knew this was wrong of them to do. 
E: The evidence of Luther wanting to change something about the church was that he put up the 95 theses. This would explain all the things being done wrong and why the church is in the wrong.

E: While Luther had gone on a trip to Rome, he had seen the church selling indulgences to people who were desperate to have a good afterlife. They had been selling indulgences to make up their debts. After seeing this take place right before his very eyes, Luther had decided to spring into action and had nailed 95 theses as to let the town know of the wrong the church had been doing. This was then taken to a printing press and copied hundreds of time and given to people of the town and soon about 80% of the town had been against the church.

E: With the evidence above it proves Luther to be both a conservative and revolutionist. He had changed the minds of most of the town, even some of the world, singlehandedly. His followings of the bible was the biggest influence to this which proves to him being a conservative. He had held the bible's words dear to him and had kept true to his words.

L: With Luther following his beliefs so strongly, he had changed the minds of the people then, and had changed our time right now.

E: When Martin Luther witnessed what the catholic church was doing in Rome, he decided he needed to do something about it. He knew it was wrong for them to use god as a scare tactic in order to make money. Luther made his opinion clear and, in turn, developed a large following.

E: When Luther received  his indulgence, he came to the conclusion of how wrong the idea was. He made it his goal to let people know that the church was lying to them. When Hannah told Luther she had purchased  an indulgence for her child, Greta, he informed her it was fake and to use her money to feed her child instead.

L: There are many religions that are still present today that stemmed from Martin Luther's opinion on the church. This shows how big his impact on the religious world was and continues to be.

E: In the beginning of the movie Martin Luther knew what was happening with the church and he did not agree with it. The actual definition of revolutionist is someone who works for political or social change. A revolutionist is someone who wants to change the world.

E: Martin Luther wanted to do just that. He knew what was right and he wouldn’t stand for anything that was wrong. 

L: Towards the end of the movie he got excommunicated and made his own religion called Lutheranism which was basically a branch of Christianity.
