Freshman year everyone's English class was required to read Romeo and Juliet. The play was called a tragic comedy, this was the first experience with an oxymoron describing a whole book. We talked a lot about why it was called a tragic comedy. It's called that because of the little lines through out the play that would make you laugh and then ending the book with death. Also, we learned how if a book is described as tragic then the main character dies.
