Charles - Edouard Jeanneret is the man who changed the architecture. We known him as Le Corbusier, and he was born in Switzerland. He was a French-Swiss architect, designer, painter, urban planner, writer, and one of the pioneers of the modern architecture. His career spanned five decades. The new architecture era was defined by five points. These are the Pilotis or pylon, the Roof Terrace, the Free Plan, the Ribbon Window and the Free Facade. Moreover, he created the Modulor. That's a mass unit, like how high a table must be, or the inclination for a staircase - that's the Modulor.

For me is Le Corbusier the greatest architect of history. Le Corbusier was not only a good architect, but also an outstanding designer and artist. He has created a new era in architecture and developed important measures that make life easier. In addition, he is a Swiss man and I have completed my apprenticeship as a draftswoman, which makes it even more important for me.
