Her theatre, poetry and storytelling abilities and ventures are centred on working with young people and children through collaboration with various community members and practitioners. She predominantly tells indigenous stories to children and adults who are interested in stories. She has facilitated theatre programmes/projects with young people and incarcerated people. 

For her PhD research, she intends to analyse the representation of violence on stage done by township youth theatre makers as a means of building and archiving the theatre and storytelling performance efforts in the margins of South Africa.

We are a centre of competence for international exchange. We offer funding, advice and training for exchange of personnel for organisations in Norway, Africa, Asia and Latin America.

• What professional skills and expertise did you use in the job with the host partner?    

• Did you have a contract of employment and a clear job description?  

• Did you have a person you could go to if something was difficult? Did you feel socially included at work?  

• How were your housing arrangements?   

• Did you receive the allowance on time? How was the allowance paid to you?   

• Do you have a travel insurance, and did you have a health insurance during your stay?  

• Did you have to consult or use the emergency plan at any point?  

• Are there any issues from the exchange that you would like to bring to the attention of Norec?   

Some things you need to know during your stay at Indaba Hotel:

• On Sunday 25th of August there will be a registration for all participants starting at 15:00. There will also be an opportunity to register Monday morning from 07:30-08:30.

• From Monday to Friday the training starts at 09:00

• There is a Farewell Dinner on Friday with the Norwegian Ambassador as our guest

• The Norec information office is open from 08:00 to 17:00 Monday to Friday to answer any questions you may have. Additionally, the hotel staff are well informed about the Norec training and can help you in most situations

• Norec covers your room charges including breakfast, lunch and dinner. Please note that you have to cover any extra charges yourself, e.g. telephone, laundry and mini bar

• Internet is complimentary. The front desk in the lobby will provide you with information
