During this battle a notorious Admiral Nelson that came up with the idea to<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YeyTC9vTtLc&amp;pp=ygUTYmF0dGxlIG9mIHRyYWZhbGdhcg%3D%3D"> break the enemy's ship line</a> said, "England expects that every man will do his duty" this was to increase the morale of his navy during this battle. Napoleon who was undermaned and had a lack of artilerry was <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dt3UzTVlttA&amp;pp=ygUSYmF0dGxlIG9mIHdhdGVybG9v">flanked by Prussian General Blucher</a> causing Napoleon to retreat. After losing this battle Napoleon would be exiled to a small island to live the rest of his life. Napoleon said, “My regrets are not for myself but for unhappy France!          <description><![CDATA[<div><strong># of Troops:</strong><br>320,000 Coalition<br>185,000 French <br><strong>Losses:<br></strong>100,000 combined<br><strong><br></strong>The Battle of Leipzig was a major victory for the sixth coalition proving to the world that Napoleon could be bested in battle. Also called <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P9hDA0u6FO0&amp;vl=en">"The Battle of the Nations"</a> because almost every nation was present for the fight including Austria, Prussia, Sweden, and Russia all fighting France this battle also was one of the largest battles before WW1.          <description><![CDATA[<div><strong># of Troops:</strong><br>135,000 French<br>160,000 Russian<br><br><strong>Losses:</strong><br>~45,000 Russians<br>~30,000 French<br><br>The city of Borodino was a final gateway towards the major city of Moscow. Although a <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_p-1drdofGU">French victory</a> it lead to the French defeat at Moscow because of the fierce fighting from the Russians at Borodino.
