My second project was to make a 100 appreciation bags and deliver them to Klamath Hospice. We started off by placing two pieces of candy in each bag and tying them shut with pretty ribbon and a tag; that had the logo of Klamath Hospice on it. Once all the bags were put together and finished we needed to deliver them. Josh and Breezy, my group members, did the delivery with out me; I was heading to the State Playoff games with my basketball team.

Humane Society Appreciation: Project #1

My group chose to start off by thanking the Humane Society. We wanted to acknowledge the volunteers and employees who give their time at the center. We decided to bring them cookies to show our appreciation for the love and care they give to the animals. To begin this project we had to stay after school to bake the cookies. We all met in the foods room, and made a variety of different cookies. We also made a "huge" card with a nice note and a "Big Thanks" inside . We decorated the card by painting different animals on poster board, and everyone of us signed our names. When we completed the project we delivered the card and cookies to The Humane Society, and were happy to see the smiles we were able to create.

German Students were coming to visit Mazama for two weeks. So to greet the exchange students and make them feel wlcomed, we made a huge 'Welcome" sign. We showed our school spirit by using our school color for the majority of it. Haley and I drew flowers around the word welcome that Allison had written in big black letters. Once all the paint dried we gathered a variety of neon colors and flicked paint all over the poster. When we finished the poster we were so stoked to hold it up for the exhange students.

Allison, Haley, Ben, Kelsey, Megan and I went to Peterson Elementary to make a display for the hands and words are not for hurting project. We had cut out hands the student government class had made with students days prior to when we went into make the display. When we arrived there, we realized our original plan would never work with the small space we were given to complete our project. Throughout the hour, we had many disagrements on how we were going to make it work. We had so many hands and very small space. We finaly afreed to put as many hands as we could on the bulletin board, then make a poster with the remaining hands and form them into the shape of a heart; and to finish it off write hands and words are not for hurting in the center of it.

Josh, Breezy and myself decided to celebrate St.Patricks day with Ms. Pat's fifth grade class at Ferguson. We wanted to choose an easy project for the younger kids, so they wouldnt get confused and have a good time. We made four leaf clovers out of green and white paper. Unfortanatly some of the kids still got confused and we had to make a lot of adjustment to help them out. It was really fun to work with all the kids. They all seemed excited and happy with the outcome of their project. Which made our frustrations of many adjustments all worth while. It was fun for everyone.

Prom was approching fast and the students needed all the deatails. Ben Megan Haley Allison and myself decided to make a display telling students all the information about prom and place it in the teens hall where it would get the most viewed. We decided to workwith murder mystery theme. We outlined the black background with yellow caution tape. In white paint it read, "Prom 2014". We then used red paint stating all the details. To make it have a bloody apperance we dripped every few letters. We also put our hands in red paint and left a "bloody" mess. We all had a good time making the poster, and getting to finger paint.

Soccer and Basketball Spirit Posters: Project #7

To finish off the year and show my school spirit. I made a few posters for the girls soccer and basketball team. That would be used for props in the spirit video Mazama was making! I made signs on blue poster paper with black writing. I layered the lettering with different fonts in white paint. The basketball one turned out really cool. I drew a basketball in black paint and then covered it in orange glitter; It read Girls Basketball next to the ball. Both my teams were then ready to participate in the spirti video.

Amber, Joey, Breezy, Allison, Haley, Payton, and

Josh were involved in my projects. All of us baked the cookies, made the card, and delivered the appreciation basket. The most rewarding part of this project was being able to see the smiles we were able to create by delivering our gifts. During the project we had a problem when we were trying to decide how to make the spray paint not leak through. We fixed this problem by layering the paper so it was thicker. The difference this project made was letting the volunteers and employees know they are appreciated for the time they put into the shelter. We picked this project because we wanted to thank the employees and volunteers and because we all like animals. During this project we used artistic and communication skills.
