My favorite positive self-affirmation is "I am a [insert desired career choice]". I put it on a sticky note on my mirror that I see each day because it reminds me that despite any challenges I may face on a given day, this is my end goal and this is simply my destiny. Instead of saying "I want to be" or "I will be", this declarative self-affirmation tells me that this is who I am and this is just part of journey towards getting there.

Do it scared. I love this one because it validates the anxiety or fear that comes from stepping outside your comfort zone. The part of acknowledging the fear is a big one, pretending that you don’t feel those feelings isn’t really helpful but if I acknowledge that I am scared but I can still do it works so much better for me. That’s why I love this phrases not only is it reassuring but also gives just enough of a push to take the first step, which is always the hard part, and when you take that first step the rest come so much easier.

Stop overthinking it, Just do it.
