Christopher Columbus landed in Cuba in 1492 during his first voyage to the Americas claiming the island for Spain. Cuba became a Spanish colony for over 400 years. The Spanish introduced slavery, tobacco, coffee and sugercanes.

Why did you choose your topic?

I chose Cuba because im half cuban and i thought it would be super cool and nice to do research on it.

What did you learn about your topic/country you had not known previously?

I learned that they have coffee culture!

What challenges did you encounter researching and compiling your Padlet?

the padlet was running slow but with the research it was okay just some did not make sense to me because it will tell you something then the next website you use saids its not true..?

If you were to do this project again, how would you have done it differently? I would spend less time on looking and finding a website
