         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Bali starling is a small bird native to the island of Bali, Indonesia in the Pacfic Ocean. Its population is small and it's niche range is very tiny. The bird suffers from poaching and is currently on the Critically Endangered list. </div>]]></description>

         <title>Stinking Corpse Lilly </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Stinking Corpse Lilly is one of the world's largest flowers. Native to Sumatra, this flower emits a foul smell during it's blooming season which is akin to the smell of rotting flesh. The color, smell and temperature of the flower is meant to attract insects that usually eat rotting flesh to pollinate and ensure the surivial of the plant An SCL can heat up to 98 degrees Farhenheit, and the purple coloring is meant to imiate the dead bodies of animals. </div>]]></description>

However, because of the limited amount of job opportunities in the areas, poaching is a huge industry, putting many animals in danger of extinction. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Although much of the land remains untouched, the spreading of cities is inveitable and as these countries grow, the more they cut back on the habitats around them to create new ones for humans. Small scale agriculture, commerical logging and even rubber making all cause harm to Sundaland habitats. </div>]]></description>

Peace parks are being formed and used as international cooperation and ecosystem cooperation. The Indonesian government has added a policy that will reduce logging activity to half. CANOPI (Conservation Action Network Program Indonesia) allows local and international groups to exchange information, coordinate their activities and develop fiances for the protected areas. </div>]]></description>
