I played two songs in different days, which they enjoyed and laughed a lot. The videos are called Steve and Maggie´s magic that are about home and furniture, they participated, repeated and asked me to watch them again.

The children had to Paint a Gorila and I told them how to paint it. We review colours and numbers with falshcards. Most of them finished but I realized that painting so many numbers in different places of the worksheet is something sometimes difficult for them. So we did it in two classes. I think that painting for over 20 minutes is a lot of a time for children.

It was something totally different of what I usually do. Children at that age are amazing and authentic. I can not complain because they did all the activity I asked them to do. I told them the Monster Family story and they participated in naming the body parts and family members, they had a great attitude. Then we played "Simon says" to review body parts and after that they drew and paint the monster/s they liked from the story. Some of them drew their own monster which was their idea.

Children at that age are unpredictable, enthusiastic, spontaneous and always expecting to learn new things. Children at this age (5 years old) learn through songs, videos and miming the actions. Therefore, I tried to make activities where they could learn and apply the new vocabulary through the cognitive approach.  Their participation was always with enthusiasm and they understood English instructions as their teacher talks to them in English most of the time.  They perform all the activities with success and they enjoyed drawing and painting the vocabulary seen. I must say that, even though, they are 5 years old, their behavior was remarkable.  We need to understand that they are really young and they shout to tell you something[A1]  and they love talking all the time. So, I had to ask for silence all the time. At the beginning it was frustrating because they did not know me, but then as they saw me with more regularity they paid more attention. During the first classes I raised my tone of voice but then I realized that it was not good[A2] , so I sang  1, 2, 3 silence please song and it worked better with them. 

What I would change is some teaching techniques but not the activities as they get disperse with the kinesthetic activities. When doing kinesthetic activities they play or fight between them so they need structured activities. They worked really well when they had to draw and paint[A3]  as they focused their attention in doing it.  What I would do is to search for activities in which the children that have trouble to concentrate can participate in class. 

There are a lot of resources that could have used if I would have had more time to work with them. But I think that a link between the teacher and the students is important and is constructed with time. 

What comforts me is that, even though, these wonderful children did not know me very well their positive attitude and good predisposition to work and new things is going to be in heart and mind all over my life. I have learned a lot from them and I am thankful for that. I hope I can become a better teacher. [A4]
