In my school, for example, the inclusion of all students regardless of their ethnicity is practiced. Although they have a certain number of places to enroll in a certain form of education, most Roma who enroll in school frequently drop out of school. The reasons are often the lack of consistency and perseverance in a given system.

Unfortunately, there is no inclusion policy in my school. There's definitely room for improvement especially regarding teachers' professional development. There aren't any teaching assistants or teachers specialised in inclusive teaching strategies. Some of the most common challenges are:
- being aware of different learning styles and thus, changing teaching styles;
-adapting tasks or materials to keep struggling students engaged and to help them in achieving lesson outcomes;
-developing empathy in order to prevent bullying.
Systems need to be implemented to teach students to be aware of different needs and abilities.

There is no inclusion policy in my school. We don’t have a psychologist at school even though we have a class of students with special needs. For 213 students, we have one pedagogue who does not have enough work experience and cannot handle with the difficulties that students have recently shown in the classroom in relation to peers and attitudes towards work. We do not have a teacher education plan for inclusive teaching. This education of mine is individual and actually by personal will and desire. Other theachers knowing they can access don’t want to waste time because it’s not mandatory.

There is no inclusion policy in my school and we don't have a class for students with special needs. Teachers are working with our heart and trying our best.

In our school there is also a policy of inclusion for other ethnicities, religions and there is also a psychologist who always helps when in need. We also adapt curricula for SEN students. We have recently trained ourselves as teachers with specialists, clinicians, who have come to our school. The main problem we face is that there are more students with SEN who have not been diagnosed as their parents do not admit that their children need special education and treatment and they do not accept advice from us.

In my school there is a policy for the inclusion of children with special needs: there is a counselor who offers free consultations for them, benefits from specialized help from a support teacher and teachers adapt their teaching and assessment style according to special requirements. Of course there is always room for improvement. Difficulties encountered in our school:
- the lack of an elevator with which students in wheelchairs can move upstairs where there are certain school cabinets.
--developing empathy in order to prevent bullying.

We have SEN students in every class. We have a special education expert, pedagogue and psychologist in our school who try to help the students and the teachers, but in the end, it all comes down to us, teachers, who make special materials, try to use different teaching methods and educate ourselves on how to help SEN students get the most out of school. I feel I don't have enough expertise for working with SEN students and I often ask myself if I'm doing the right thing.

I wish we had inclusion policies in my school or at least wider adaptations for SEN examination candidates, which are rather barren at present. Areas of improvement would be pinpointing the largest group/s of SEN students and designing accommodations in the classroom (i.e. dyslexia, adhd, visual or hearing impairment). Most importantly at standardised examinations.

We have a plan for inclusion at my school which is adjusted every year on the basis of the analyses of strengths and weaknesses of the activities carried on. According to the yearly plan, each teaching team elaborates a personalized plan for SEN students. Despite a well planned inclusive policy, there still are lots of barriers to overcome to have a really inclusive education: lack of facilities, a high number of learners in each class, creating activities that include all students, dealing with parents who does not accept teacher advice.

In our mainstream school some students with special needs study. For their inclusion, we adapted curricula and work tasks. They are supported by classmates and teachers.
In June 2022, they successfully passed the National Baccalaureate exam.

As part of my school, there is a Center for Support of Children with Special Needs which employs 13 special educators and rehabilitators. The school conducts a procedure for identification of children with special educational needs. We also have an inclusive school team that works according to the Concept for Inclusive Education. In addition to this school team, an inclusive student team (ITU) is formed for each student. Its members are the class teacher, pedagogue-psychologist, parent. The school also has a well-equipped sensory room.

we have some SEN students and they learn in massive educational classes unless they have some mind disabilities. the counsellor teachers help them and we have some individualized lesson plans for these students. They don't take English classes as it is a difficult subjects for these students.

In Romania, we have legal procedures about inclusive education, inclusive schools, school psychologists and so on. I teach Romanian literature in Arad, Romania. Being a theological school, we have many students with special needs (SEN students, students from poor rural backgrounds, students from families with many children, students with anxiety problems, with autism) because our students are more willing to accept them. They often try to help them, make them feel integrated and accepted, make them feel „normal”. There is a school counsellor, but the rest of the work is done by the teachers. We change the curricula to fit the needs of individual SEN students. A powerful help is our school counsellor. She is very devoted to the students, and they trust her. She is the one who identifies the students’ needs and communicates them to us. We also collaborate with students` families for the students to get help at home. The other students help too, by including SEN students in their activities, helping them in classes, explaining things during group or pair activities. We do not have special facilities for SEN students in our school, they are included in the mainstream classes. They do not stay in a particular place in the classroom, they are completely integrated in the class. They only get some special teaching materials, or they do not have to complete all the tasks, depending on their needs.

Inclusion is supported by the national curriculum by means of providing psychologists and special education teachers. Apart from that, my school lacks facilities for physically challenged people such as a lift, ramps, blind paths, and so on. Also, it is up to the class teachers how to differentiate their teaching material and practices to cater to the learning styles and needs of all pupils.

In our school there are special compact classes integrated in mainstream education, since 2000. In these classes, students benefit from the therapy of language disorders, physiotherapy, individualized pedagogical programs. Learning is done by value groups, according to the level of understanding of each.
Our school promotes inclusion through projects and extracurricular activities for now.
It is difficult to achieve effective inclusion in mainstream classes, because we do not have enough support teachers, only one per 1000 students, as our school has.
We have partnered with organizations and associations that promote and support inclusion, to exchange best practices and to learn constantly.

There is no inclusion policy in our school. Children with disabilities are integrated with other children, but there is no support teacher. Of course this can be improved.

As far as the school is concerned, I can say that it has an open policy towards children with special educational needs, it welcomes them, but it is up to the teacher in the classroom, and here the teachers are different, some empathetic and caring, others less so.
As far as I am concerned I can say that I integrated pupils into my class group and in the end they were included, felt valued and part of the class group like any other child. I have children in my class with different needs: locomotor disability and several with learning difficulties, but in each I have discovered strengths and abilities.

We have students with special needs in our school, but it is a neighbourhood school in an industrial town with an acute shortage of jobs and many parents abroad working. We also have inclusive schools, from where we get itinerant teachers for children integrated into mainstream schools. I worked in the classroom with the itinerant teacher (support teacher). This collaboration helped me a lot to work with these pupils. Not all fellow learners accepted a collaboration with the itinerant teacher.

In my school there are students with special needs learning in mainstream classes. There is a teacher for students with special needs who comes two or three times a week there and helps us in terms of adapting strategies and contents. As far as I am concerned, I consult this specialist who offers me very important ideas regarding the way in which I should approach various contents in order to respond my students' needs. We discuss about each student and when I face problems in designing my strategies, I ask for help. All these actions require time and interest from teachers dealing with different subjects.

I work in a special school and I think it will take some time for inclusion to be achieved in our education system. For this it is necessary to change the mentality and the existence of specialized teachers. At this time a support teacher can have 20 students (in different schools), not having the necessary physical time to complete their job description.

SEN children are supported in our school through working on their individualized learning plan and differentiated curriculum. We need to change the lessons to adapt to their needs and most teachers do it. But of course there are people who do not do so and they argue they do not have the training necessary to work with SEN children.

Inclusion in our school
In my school, policy is intended to be as inclusive as possible. We have several students with SEN and they are all included in the classes. Some are full-time in the class (dyslexia, mild autism), others, due to their characteristics (autism, mental efficiency, behavioral disorders) have some moments in a small group outside the class. The older ones, from 15 years old, are also integrated sometimes a week in a work context (internship) in the community. We have teachers who adapt classes, activities and assessments, others still show difficulty. We have special education teachers who collaborate in class lessons and/or work with students in small groups. They work collaboratively with the other teachers in necessary adaptations, with specialized technicians and with families.
I think biggest challenge is to change mentalities and train teachers and staff for real inclusion.

In my school, SEN students have a individual learning plan developed by teachers and counsellor teachers. They are supported by their colleagues in the learning process. Unfortunately they must passed the same final examen as the other students although they had an adapted curriculum. It would be better for them to have a final exam linked with the adapted curriculum, so they have more opportunities into labour market.

Well, I am afraid that in Catalonia/ Spain we have an inclusion decree but at the moment it is very difficult to apply and follow it because we need more investment in education and more resources. The government only invests 3% in education and that makes things really difficult. However, some teachers are really worried about that and they have started getting some training but this is not compulsory, and as I see it, it should be, so everybody should know about it and how to deal with SEN students and inclusive education. Unfortunatelly, all depends on the good will of some teachers and that is a bit sad.

At the moment, when there are SEN students, it is compulsory they have an individual learning plan with curricular adaptations, this means that depending on their needs, they will need former courses assessment criteria or advanced courses, depending on their needs. Those plans are validated and done with the help of the orientation teacher/psychologist and then, validated by the special suport for SEN students at schools.

I am working in Secondary school in rural part of Croatia. In my school we dont have psychologist at school even though we have a class of four students with special needs. The school I teach in has an open policy towards children with special educational needs. Schools have legal regulations for inclusive education but it is really up to the teacher in the classroom to organize his or her activity in order for these children to fell valued and part of the class group like any other child.

We need developed inclusive policies on regional and local level, much more capacities and resources for structural implementation of a quality concept of inclusive education, because in my opinion, nowadays we are practicing an integrated education rather than an inclusive one.

My school where I work (Moldova) promotes the policy of including students with SEN. CES students benefit from a specially designed room, equipped with games and teaching materials depending on different learning intelligences. CES students have regular meetings with the psychologist, special teaching staff and regular teachers who plan activities with them. Teachers create special modified programs for the subjects they teach and measure the skills acquired. The problem is that some parents oppose their child being included in SEN.

I am a teacher of History, Civic Culture and Legal Education. In my classes I like to create a relaxed, democratic, interactive and inclusive atmosphere! I like to discuss the subject of the lesson with my students, I challenge them to answer questions, to find solutions to historical problems, to express their opinion without fear that someone will laugh at them! I try to trust them, to praise them every time, to make them feel important!
Because I realized that students have different types of intelligence and some are not appreciated in the context of the discipline, I tried to involve them in school and extracurricular educational projects that highlight their very type of intelligence! In my class / school there are students with SEN, with medical problems, from single-parent families, disadvantaged or rural communities!
I am proud of the fact that my school is tolerant and inclusive because we try to create a learning space accessible to everyone!
In SEN cases, I made sure to keep in touch with students, teachers and parents. I have the necessary patience, to communicate with them and their family, to involve them in school / extracurricular projects so that they can better integrate in the classroom!
An example is Arpi. He has autism and other associated diseases. He has the scientist's syndrome, being obsessed with history. He knew the subject perfectly in class. He wanted to answer all the time and never stopped. Even though I told him it was enough and he got a grade of 10!

Because we have children with SEN, there are also itinerant teachers in the school, who work with groups of students who have the same learning difficulties or are in the same class. Itinerant teachers work with students twice a week, outside of school hours. A speech therapist also works regularly with students in need. Teachers make adapted programs, but without real help during classes, it is difficult to give the student the necessary attention without neglecting the rest of the group.
