Click on the image below to play video.]]> 2020-05-05 22:24:37 UTC https://padlet.com/rebeccarimoldi/np32uunbhrne5d35/wish/553371385 rebeccarimoldi https://padlet.com/rebeccarimoldi/np32uunbhrne5d35/wish/553372793 My adult daughter sent me a photo text of a really bad sunburn she had gotten on her legs.  She's been quarantined in an upstairs apartment clear across town from me.  She's fortunate that her apartment has a small balcony that allows her to get some fresh air.  So last weekend she went out to read a book and she stayed out a bit too long.  When she came inside she noticed her skin was red and warm to the touch.  She was sunburned!  Sunburns can be painful.  I reminded her of the importance of protecting herself from the sun.  Some of the things we can do when we are out in the sun is to wear sunscreen and a wide brim hat.  I know that people need to protect their skin from the sun, but are we the only living things that need to do that?  What about animals?  How do they protect their skin from the sun?
