I'm going to tell you what I do as a good reader! when I read Harry potter I do three things - let me tell you about them!!!

First, I always try my best to visualizing the events, and the story by picturing what happens! It always makes reading more fun!

Second, I reread things that I don't understand... like," Meet me at the clock with me", said us. I would read that text until I understand the meaning.

Lastly, I ask questions to my self to guess what's next, and then read on!!!

I hope you learned something about reading stragies, and will use them too!!!

As a good reader, I will tell you what I do when I read. When I'm reading my favorite book, Smile, I really think about what is happening in the book. Next, I read very carefully so I can understand what is going on. Also, when I see the pictures, I try to see what they mean and if the words go with the pictures. Another thing that I do when I read is I try to find out what the chapter means in the book. As a good reader, I read the back of the book to see what it is about. Lastly, I make predictions about what is going to be next and see if I am right. These are some strategies that I use when I read.

If l come to a word l don't know l read the rest of the sentence to see if l can find any more detail on what the word means. Another strategy l use is if l totally can't figure out what a word means l skip it. One other strategy l use is that l try to guess what is going to happen next in the book. The last strategy l like to use is l like to use is l like to visulise the pictures in my head. These are some of the ways l like to be a good reader.

The books get more challenging the farther in the books you get. When I see the title of the chapter I predict what is happening next. For example, if the chapter was called "Shoes for Thought" and I saw a picture of a shoe I will know the chapter is about shoes.
When I go to the bookstore or library before I check-out or buy a book , I look at the cover and read what it says on the back.

Lastly, I reread sentences I don't understand.
When I read, I read the back of the book to make sure I will like the book.
A good reader first should find a just right book. And you should read the title of the book. Next, you should spell out a hard word that you don't know. Next, you should preview the chapter. Next, you should read the words clearly so you don't skip words and to help you visualize whats going on in your head.`
