Early in her career, she worked in leadership roles at Chicago Public Library and Dallas Public Library and, in 2002, was appointed northwest regional library manager at Maricopa County Library in Phoenix, Arizona. Responsible for construction oversight of a 25,000-square-foot regional library, Danielle Krol managed the facility's budget, hired and trained all staff, and developed its programs and services. Danielle Krol later worked as executive director at Mid-Columbia Libraries in Kennewick, Washington. Through six years in this position, she managed 11 libraries with a combined $8.5 million budget. In addition, Ms. Krol developed programming and secured inter-governmental contracts with multiple cities for library services. She also performed strategic planning for all libraries and retrieved in excess of $1 million in lost or stolen library materials with the help of a collection agency. She has since held director roles at Chattahoochee Valley Libraries, Mohave County Library, and College of the Desert. Ms. Krol holds a master of public administration and master's degree in library science from Illinois Institute of Technology and Dominican University, respectively.
