         <description><![CDATA[<div>Students will be assigned into groups of 3-4, with one computer assigned to a group.<br><strong>Part I</strong>: Utilizing: <a href="http://www.popplet.com">Popplet</a> students will be given the prompt<em> What are good presentation skills?</em>  Students will be asked to react to and think about what they already know about presentation skills and what the topic means to them.  Each group will add words, thoughts, concepts, skills to the Popplet. Students will take turns being the actual contributor in terms of keying in group member responses. Each group will  be asked to contribute to other groups' responses (at least 1-2).  <br><strong>Part II</strong>: The prompt of <em>What does an effective presentation look like and include? </em> will be given to the students. Again, students will asked to react to the prompt with words, skills, or concepts.  Students will rotate the role related to the keying in of responses of the group. Students will be asked to comment on other groups contributions (at least 1-2). <br><strong>Part II</strong>: At the end of this lesson, all ideas will be shown to the class as a whole.  The teacher will prompt a discussion about answers given to the two prompts and ask the students how all of the responses are connected.  The teacher can also question the students about what is surprising and what is still missing from the items, ideas, and concepts that were brainstormed.  </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Students will be asked to read a section of the textbook focused on presentation skills.  In addition students, will be assigned to watch "good" and "bad" examples of speeches and presentations. (selected by the teacher). <br>Each student will use <a href="https://piktochart.com/">Piktochart</a> to create an Infographic.  This Infographic should be divided into at least four sections so the student can address each of the 4Cs (Connections, Challenge, Concepts and Changes) of the topic and synthesize information from MTV Routine #1, the assigned reading and the videos.  </div>]]></description>

Each student will research a career topic of interest using<a href="https://www.onetonline.org/"> O*Net.</a>  The student will gather and summarize all of the career information and create a 3-5 presentation utilizing<a href="https://piktochart.com/"> Piktochart</a>.  The students will be able to reflect upon the the lessons leading up to the creation of the presentation and apply new information along with prior knowledge.
