Yes, I Have a Family

I am from Branson, Missouri, a.k.a. the "Hollywood of the Midwest." Except for a few that live in Michigan, all of my family lives in Missouri as well. I lived in southwest Missouri for my entire life until I went to college. I have one and a half siblings (one younger sister and one younger half-brother). If I'm honest, being the oldest has shaped a lot of the way I do things anymore. My sister and I are very close with our three cousins. We basically grew up together, as the five of us are all only four years apart. My grandparents live only two hours away and are probably two of the best role models, as people, and as Christians, I've ever had.

Yes, I Had Fun in High School

In High School, I spent quite a lot of time working with student council. During my Senior year I was the president of the council and was able to bring a fresh spirit to the school. Student council definitely made my High School experience a special one, and is honestly one of the biggest reasons I decided to pursue a career in education. Of course, I also did other things. I was the manager for the cross country team and I participated in track and field. I could never decide which of the track events I liked best or was good at, so by the end of my four years I had done all but three of the events. (I was on track to complete all of them until our last meet of the year was rained out ): ).

This picture is me and two of my friends before one of our first Razorback football games. All three of us plus several other friends, attend Cross Church on Sundays and Cross Church College on Wednesday nights. Most of my friends are Engineering majors so I typically have a lot more free time than they do. But when we're all together we like going to the Razorback games, watching movies in the Hotz Honors Hall movie room, or playing board games.
