Corona and lockdown have coincided with an era of media. We no longer go to old news sources and we expect news to arrive immediately.

Using Tim Roedenbroker's triangle of material, process and outcome, I identified news and the 'new normal' as my starting point. To reflect our wider experience, confusion and obfuscation is my process stage. And to round it off, I wanted a new experience to be the outcome.

I had hoped to utilise ai such as Google deep dream or GPT-2 for my process of confusion but opted to use P5.js for speed and to practice skills learnt last year.

My outcome is a fake news generator. It puts together  a new article at the click of your mouse from 114 set phrases that I cut and scanned from multiple news papers from march to September. I selected phrases that might contrast or 'U turn' on themselves as well as phrases that represent the new words in our vocabulary since Corona. I tried to frame this with the set starter phrase 'I embark on my own new'
- 'embark' to respresent the journey we are on.
- 'my own' as we are each in this having to decide what is true and what is not.
- 'new' new normal, new world, new order.

Had I had more time in this project, I would have liked to make it responsive to the device location and it's users' proximity to phone masts to make the news information more intense as you approach the signal masts.
