]]> 2025-07-23 20:48:32 UTC https://padlet.com/malaysiawtsn/STEM_SIIF/wish/3527218792 gyove001 https://padlet.com/malaysiawtsn/STEM_SIIF/wish/3657401798 Ever since i was a young child, i was passionate about STEM, specifically medicine as my father was severely ill at that time, however as I spoke to more people and discovered new career options, I realised that I was more drawn to studying biology and chemistry rather than becoming a doctor because I realised that medical school and a lot of the specialties in medicine e.g. surgeon, emergency medicine and radiology seemed more stressful than I could handle. One of the careers in chemistry that I found out about was cosmetic chemistry which I first discovered through the youtube channel Lab Muffin Beauty Science as her videos debunk misinformation and offer easy-to-understand explanations for the science behind beauty products. Despite the pay for a cosmetic chemist being lower than for other types of chemists, this is the career than I will most likely go with.
