Otherness and ipseity are closely linked and maintain a dialogical relationship between them. In order to exist as a different and differentiating identity, first I need to see myself as another, that is, I need to see myself in the eyes / speeches of the other/s. This means that subjectivity is born out of intersubjectivity, from the dialogue with the other/s, from the interaction I maintain with the eyes / speeches of the other/s. The construction of ipseity is a dynamic process between imitation and differentiation, acceptance and refusal of the other/s, between my desire of being like the other and my desire of being different from the other. As James from Malta says in his post, "I influence and get influenced."

How far? Well, it depends on my ability (and on the human possibility) of being able to see myself not as an I but as a she.

Influence is the ability of a person or a team to have power on other people .

Influence can be positive (for example, Parents could be considered like Guide by their children) or negative (for instance, a peer group that commits violence online or offline).

Sometimes there are indirect influence ( judgments about third person; opinions about a “good” way to being ) that have negative effects on behavior of boys and girls.

For example a girl that hears, again and again, from her mother, from her sister, from her friends how is beautiful being thin she might want to lose a lot of weight and so she finish to cause herself negative consequences for her health

I am a high school teacher. My students are as big as their age. Especially when it comes to hate, slang and gender issues, surroundings and social media. Speak very carefully while talking to them. I want them to correct or apologize when I hear negative cues from them. I never come to see it. I also use carefully selected examples of derste. Create appropriate environments for critical thinking. I encourage them to make their criticisms openly, including myself.

Influences are important in many ways for all people. Most influences are good and we need it for growing and learn about different things. Some need them more than others. But when people gets drilled by the ideas from their influences it can get real bad. But, off course it´s a thin line when such an influences is getting worse for some one. But if you show that you trust someone they will probably trust you and this is a big matter. I always try and tried to be myself. I think it's normal that our students look at us searching for positive examples (but sometimes discovering also negative ones). It depends on the way we share our experiences with them. I try to share my enthusiasm for what we do together sharing opinions and ideas in a honest and positive way. I think that I am quite influenced by other people. Family, friends, colleagues, students influence my behavior, the way I express myself and scarcely my appearance (clothes, hair). I do not know if I influence other people but if so I hope I am a positive one. :)

Unfortunately, people around me sometimes influence me in order to hide my true opinions about things or news to avoid to offend them or not to seem i feel superior than them. The problem is that there's a lot of people who trust in rumours more that in science and rationality. So they don't make me a bad person, but not always i have willingness to try changing their habits or wrong convinctions. Maybe i appear different from the other, but it doesn't matter.
