Children and teenagers, who will make up the nation's future, should learn information technology in step with its advancements in order to take full use of its advantages. Teenagers' self-skills can be empowered by information technology. The majority of us, especially teens, need to learn many skills in order to stay employable in today's current world of work due to modernization. This is true since the range of employment available today calls for people with a wide range of skills. For instance, in terms of future professional growth, the primary evaluation criteria now include communication skills and self-image. Teens can acquire skills through video streaming services like YouTube outside of the classroom. Teenagers must also foster the acceptance of technology in their everyday lives since, in the future, technology will permeate every part of life and will be easier and more effective to utilise. However, having a firm grasp of information technology may also help people communicate with one other at any time and from any location. Since long-distance communication is already commonplace in society, teens in particular need to embrace and make use of this globalisation process. Besides, such technology can be used to accomplish a number of everyday functions, like banking and bill payment. Today's civilization is more advanced the more sophisticated the technology is. Wealthy nations have good financial management practices. As we move closer to the advancement of nation, Malaysia has improved its financial management. The experiences of those who are born with technology and those generations who are watching the progress of the advancement of technology and shifting their lives are totally different. As for my mom, she experienced a lot of new things coming into her life, especially technology. She was born with a very vintage and traditional-styled television and had no Internet during her childhood era. She experienced using a flip phone which can be used only for calls, text messages, to play games and to capture photos until she can use a touch screen phone that requires Internet if you want to play social media and to surf the websites. Since my mom is a home baker, online banking is an important thing that she will use every single day. She needs to have this kind of technology because she needs to deal with payment of her cakes and pastries as well as purchasing bakery stuff from online stores or physical stores. She generates her income by doing home bakery business where she sells a lot of customized cakes and pastries like cheese tarts and brownies. She operates her job by accepting the order from the customers, then asking for deposits first which requires customers to pay half price of the order in order to make sure it is not a scam or the customer lies to her because baking cakes involves money and ingredients. After that, she will proceed to bake the order and get everything done and ask the customer again to pay for another half of the price. This involves online banking where she shares her bank account details to make sure the customers pays for her work. Besides, she also uses online banking to save her money for her own savings and for her initial money to roll the surplus money for her business. Moreover, there is no need for her to carry cash with her if she delivers the goods to the customers or to buy things from the shops or stores. This major shift in her life eases her the most as there is no need for her to go to the bank anymore in order to save her own savings. At first, she felt very awkward to use online banking as she did not really know how it functions and how it works. Her friends are the main influence that leads her to know more about technology, especially online banking. Before she started her business, she was an electronic engineer who worked with a Japanese company. At first, she only used online banking for saving her own money before starting the business which she had zero knowledge about online banking and only knew if online banking is a platform where her wages were being put in and saves half of her wages. The challenge for her as an older generation when it comes to the use of such service is the shifting phase where she has zero knowledge about it. She needs to study about the technology such as how to use touch screen phones and online banking in order to go align with the advancement of science and technology. She said that she got many benefits when she involved herself with technology. Its accessibility is one of its most evident benefits, which will undoubtedly simplify things for her. Saying goodbye to a bulky wallet and eliminating the need to calculate balances is possible with cashless payments, particularly for individuals who struggle with mathematics and are concerned about running out of cash. My experience of using chosen technology which is online banking might be differ from my parent due to the fact that we are not in the same generation and era. According to my personal experience, as I considered myself as a part of generation Z, I use online banking for every single day especially when I want to pay for my things that I purchase through online platforms such as Shopee and Tiktok. Besides, I also use it whenever I want to pay for my hostel fee as well as academic fee and compound. There’s no need for me to go to the office or service centre in order to pay for my every semester’s commitment. Besides, whenever I feel so hungry I will order food either from runners around my university or from food runner applications like Foodpanda, Grab or Shopee food. By clicking on the meal that I wanted then paying with online banking, there was no need for me to walk to the cafe or shop just to grab some food and I do not need to cook anything from scratch which is very time consuming. Not only that, this kind of application also offers to send us groceries. I usually use this type of service whenever I need something in the cheapest option as well as some food that can last for a long time like bread, egg and tortilla wrap. Online banking is really saving my life as it helps to ease my life the most. My mom is the person who introduced me to this technology. The first time that I saw her using it was during my secondary class where I asked her how come she can buy it but there was no need for her to walk into the store because I barely saw her go to the shopping mall. Then, she explained that she used online banking where at that particular time, she just knew about it and bought her first thing using online banking. My thought at that moment was I really wanted to get into the adult era and own a bank account as well as register for my online banking. The challenges that I faced might be slightly differ with my mom as I know about online banking earlier compared to her. I did not feel many challenges that I encountered as I was already born with good technology and being introduced to it and getting exposed to it at an early stage of life.

Besides, walking into the store also helps to strengthen the relationship between family members and siblings by having some family time and chatting with each other when we stop by. Next, having online banking really made us to be so extravagant in shopping. Shopee and Tiktok always offer the consumers lots of promotions such as free shipping and discounts at certain times. This can really attract the consumers to continue shopping with them. However, as a consumer, this can be seen as extravagant and wasteful especially when the consumer purchases the unwanted and unnecessary things as they know it is cheaper that normal day. This also can be called impulsive buying. With the existence of online banking that only requires us to touch the phone screen and key in the password, impulsive buying becomes like a habit among us. This needs to be changed as Islam prohibits us to be extravagant and wasteful and needs to be simple in everything that we do. Besides, the next habit that we need to change is laziness. With the advancement of technology that introduced online banking, it may lead people to be more lazy. I was too lazy to buy food from the cafe and I just only ordered everything from online shopping applications. This might hinder me from putting effort into getting things and this also may lead me to not have enough pocket money as I always pay for the service fee of the runner which will cost me around RM4 and above, not including the food itself yet. Not only that, the laziness that I face may hinder me from watching the view and scenery and having the feeling of going outside, choosing the thing that I want, touch and feel the materials and textures and choosing which one is better. This favor should be used well.
