Its hard to get your abuser in jail/punished for their rapes/asult if you have no concrete proof. The best way to “catch” them is by using a rape kit. This will collect dna and will help identify them if you dont know who it is or if you do know this will be proof. But in general when people go to report not much happens unless you have proof like recordings, messages, dna rape kit test, or a confession from the abuser.

Hook: why does society confused the words scold and support. Instead of supporting victims of rape we instead blame them and scold them.Infact as a result of us blaming them only 1 in 5 victims reported it to the police claiming that it would be too embarrassing or that no one would believe them. Now i know some of you might not know what victim blaming is. The definition of victim blaming is the action of telling someone who has been sexually assaulted that it happened as a result of their actions/choices. This needs to be solved. We need to support victims not place guilt and burden on them. They need support to recover mentally and physically

I have one really important thing, a question. Why or how does society confuse the words support and scold? Instead of supporting victims of rape we blame them, scold them, tell them that it's all their fault.

Only 1 in 5 people report sexual assault because of a not-so-little thing called victim blaming. They hide and shame themselves because we as a society make them feel like we won’t believe them or that we will blame it on them.
