I will need to have a completed and polished script as well as potentially mood board material for the more visual sequences in the film. In addition to this will need to find the locations where we will shott the film and make sure they are free for the appropriate time.

during pre-production i will need to create a mood board to establish the overall look and feel to the film. i will need to make a schedule from the script breakdown to have a set plan on which scenes are filmed which days and so on. I will also need to visit locations and take test shots to get a feel of the environment. I order to get a clear idea of the order of the scenes i will need to make a story board. i also have to get an idea of which shots i will be using so will be making a shot list. i will have to deal with all of the lighting and make sure i am able to use the clapperboard also.

Make quick, precise and effective decisions.

Communicate with other crew roles and actors to make sure everyone is on the dame page and fully understands what we are aiming to achieve. The director must also be able to solve or resolve and mishaps that occur during production. In addition to this the main role of the director is to communicate with the cast and crew to insure production runs smoothly and all required footage is shot in the select space of time that has been granted to us.

During the shoot i will need to be in charge of all of the camera work, setting up and controlling all of the lighting. I also have to ensure that all the shots have good composition and maintain consitancy.

In post production i need to overview and review the final cut. i also need to supervise all of the sound and music. overall i need to ensure that all of the visual elements of the film are consistent with the directors vision. i also need to review all of the footage before sending it off to be edited.

Collaborate with editor via watching over various cuts of both the overall film and select sequences to create the desired effect all with the common goal of reaching a satisfying cut of the film. In addition the director must also be open to the editors opinion as they may have a stronger understanding of the flow of the film.

it might be challenging to fully accomplish the directors vision within the budget.

to prepare for this i could make sure that my problem solving skills are good so i can come up with effective solutions.

Time can also be tricky to overcome as we have to film within schools times.

i will need to collaborate with both Caitlyn and Zach to come up with ideas on how we will make the film as accurate to out initial idea as possible. i will need to have meeting with the director also to share ideas. and i will need to collaborate with the production designer to get all of the visual elements correct.

I am responsible for the overall production and result of the film leaving me exposed to a variety of problems that could occur during the shoot. To prepare for this I will have to have everything from the script to the locations planned out beforehand. I may also suffer from a lack of equipment and a lack of personnel, however the best way I can combat this is by making note of all my equipment and crew that way I fully know what I'm working with.

I will need to work with both Eilith and Caitlyn in all 3 stages of production all with the goal of creating a competent and satisfying film. We will need to use our knowledge of our roles and perform them to a high standard all whilst being able to offer up ideas throughout production.

I’m in charge of shaping the look of the short film. I create sets, props, costumes, and everything visual that helps tell the short film effectively. I collaborate closely with the director and other departments to make sure the design matches the mood and tone of the film and everyone agrees.

Through out the planning I will be in change of makeup and how we want the actor to look. I will also be in charge of costume design, creating lists for outfits and props, source and create costumes for the actor.

We chose to create suspense thriller film because it was a genre that we were all familiar with and liked.
We had no budget which meant that we had to use the recourses around us. We also had limited time as we could only film during certain periods at school.
We were able to use different rooms that we had access to to which had no cost. We were also able to use equipment such as iPads lights and tripods which were supplied by the school. We had made a very detailed schedule to use our time to the best of our ability’s.
We experimented heavily with lighting, using different gels and set up to create the atmosphere we pictured.
We had originally come up with a different version of our story but soon developed it into a more realistic one we could achieve regarding the restrictions we faced.
The theme is ‘be careful what u wish for.’

We chose to create a short thriller surrounding the theme 'be careful what you wish for' and hoped to create this film between the 3 of us.

Since there is only 3 of us we have found ourselves sharing multiple crew roles between our group. Due to this we may not of had the time to fully dedicate ourselves to practicing one role. We also only had limited access to equipment.

We chose to create a suspense thriller film because it was a genre that we were all agreed and had good knowledge on, we chose the prompt “careful what you wish for”.
In the brainstorming section of our ideas for the film we originally came up with the idea of a haunted computer, but the problem with this was the texting was going to make filming it very hard to be able to make the iPad focus on the text and we wanted as little talking as possible, we thought the texting wasn’t going to work. That’s when we came up with the homework as it didn’t need much text and no speaking in the end product.
We had limited time to be able to come up with an idea and get it on paper and this caused us to miss some parts of planning the film. Like having a bathroom scene when we couldn’t film in the bathroom so had to go back and change it and retire the film quickly.
We wanted o experiment with light, blues and reds to make our film more sinister and keep watchers on their toes. We originally came up with the blue idea as in the inspiration pictures we found blue was a very common colour, we thought it would match the theme our film would be showing off and blue is also associated with a sad blooming environment which is what we wanted. The red came later on when we looked at the location and the curtains where red casting a red glow around the room that we ended up using to our advantage.
I was off for the initial ideas so I took the feedback from my team members and out in my own suggestions as they told me about what they did and I planned what I would have to do with probs and makeup during the filming when it came to it this needed good team work and good communication to be able to get there ideas across how they seen it.
“Careful what you wish for”
*A boy forgets his homework and leaves the classroom to go to the ‘toilet’ his plan was to avoid the teacher the rest of class.
*The teacher walks past the coridoor he is in and he jumps into a room to hide from her
* He sees a supisous box and curiously walks over to check out the box and what lingers inside. He reaches inside and pulls out his homework, he runs to the door to hand it in only to find out the doors locked.
*He tries to break out the room for hours but ends up exhausted and tired from trying for so long.
*He then rips up the paper out the frustration and tries the door one last time, it opens and he walks out but even turning his head to look back.
