The next step wouldn't be to defund the police but to train them the way the military trains. The funding needs to be going to the right places in order to keep our PEACE officers mentally and physically healthy enough to do their jobs and still be functional at home. 6 months of training is nothing. They should be in a constant state of training the way the military does. 1 week training, 1 week on duty. You go so many rotations of this and then you get paid leave before you return to duty.

To add further we also need to keep aware that civic engagement for many of our young friends is new and they will learn as they go for themselves bc they do not want someone telling them how it is/ should be.
