Not many people know what to do/ say or where to signpost a child presenting with a mental health issue. Culture change and no wrong door approaches are needed.

Zero Suicide Alliance training is free to access, could the training be flowed out to families to provide a basic introduction to suicide prevention. 2. How regularly are reviews conducted into child deaths to support system learning and how widely re the lessons learned shared? 3. Emotional regulation & grounding techniques (5.4.3.2.1) to support families at home may be really helpful, to reach families before a CYP is in distress to support de-escalation. 4. What awareness of 'early warning systems' do we have for families to adopt that will help their child signal they need support when it is difficult to communicate directly - is this a gap? 5. Data from anonymised/digital services may be useful in understanding and informing future needs where 'presentation' and equalities data is recorded, how are we using this to help inform strategy and services? 6. University workforce - can students be flowed to NHS Talking Therapy interventions by assessment via University MH practitioners to remove a step to access and save capacity for delivering interventions? 7.
