USCAN gave me and my org the opportunity to engage at national levels, especially since we are a youth org and so it is hard to get access to "adult" spaces. It also provided pretty significant seed funding for us through the catalyzing grants while we were able to work with other members. As a member, I felt like there were a few folks working on this, and it is an important tactic. However, sometimes I think it has been elevated above other things. People in AiA do not know about USCAN and visa versa. I felt like sometimes the projects I was working on with members did not feel as important as AiA to staff.
