1) planning :- It is the function of deciding in advance what is to be done who has to do it . This means setting goals in advance and developing ways of achieving them effectively and effectively.

2) Organizing :- It is a function of assigning duties , grouping tasks , establishing authority and allocating resources required to carry out a specific plan.

3) Staffing :- Staffing means finding out the right person for the right job . The right people with the right qualifications must be made available at a right place and at a right time to accomplish the goals of the organization.

4) Directing :- It involves leading , influencing and motivating (encouraging) employees to perform the jobs assigned to them . It also includes communication with the employees as well as supervisor of the employees.

5) Controlling :- It is a function of motivating (checking) the performance of the organisation.
