Both of these sports are played with a ball of similar shape however they are padded differently. on the inside of a volley ball there is nothing so the ball is hollow. the ball is also very light so it is easy to hit. The football is harder and is more padded so it makes it better for the ball to bounce once it hits the floor.
Both sports require kits, they both have tight fitted kits so you can move more freely, in football they are tighter so the opposition can’t grab onto the shirt or shorts to pull the player back.
Volleyball is played with your hands but you can also use your feet but your feet are rarely used. Footballers can use any part of their body’s except for their hands with exception of the goal keeper who has the job too protect the goal.
In football there are 11 players and in volleyball there are 5 players. a football side usually conisists of 1 Goalkeeper, 4 Defenders, 4 Midfielders and two attackers. in Volleyball there is a Libero, Right-side hitter, 2 setters, middle blocker and a outside hitter.
In football you pass the ball to your team with your feet. you do this to try and get an outcome which is either a goal or too just keep the ball. in volley ball a pass is called a set and this is done with your hands, the pass is done for someone to try and score a point by hitting it over the net. in football you shoot with your feet. in volleyball a spike is similar to a shot becuase you’re trying to score a point however this is done with your hands.

Both of these sports are played on a grass field however they both require different footwear. in football if it is raining and the floor is soft you should wear studs because they are long, metal and they give the best grip. However if it’s sunny and the ground is hard you should wear molds this is because they are rubber/plastic so they don’t stick and too the floor. if you was too wear studs on this floor you would most probably break your ankle. in cricket you wear small spikes to be more agile. The spikes have also been said too have better grip in wet and greasy conditions.
In football you can use your whole body to touch the ball except your hands. in cricket you can use both your hands and feet. you use your hands too either throw the ball too a teammate or at the stumps and with your feet you can use them to stop the ball from going over the boundaries.
Both sports have 11 players, in football there is 1 goalkeeper, 4 defenders, 4 midfielders and two attackers. in cricket there is a wicketkeeper, a bowler, a first slip, a gully, a fine leg, a deep square leg, a mid wicket, a long off, a deep extra cover, a cover and a mid-on. these compared to football players are quite different as all the cricket players are defenders. Their aim is too catch the ball or throw it to a nearby team mate to get the batsman out.
Passing in cricket is only done to get the ball closer too the stumps so the closest player to them can strike them and get the opposing batsman out. passing in cricket should all be fast over arm passes so they get too your teammate quicker.
in football you pass the ball using your feet and you can hit the ball as hard as you want depending on how far away your teammate is. this is also done too keep the ball or score a goal.

In volleyball there are indoor trainers as the footwear as the game is played indoor with a hard surface. you use these trainers becuase they have a rubbery sole and they stick too the floor really well. this is completely different too cricket as it is played outdoors with spikes on the shoes.
in both sports you can use your hands and feet both for the same reason which is too get the opponents out. there are two other similarities with these sports. 1. both sports have a serve so the player in volleyball has too try and get the ball too hit the floor to win the point, in cricket the bowler has to serve the ball too the batsman to try and get them out. 2. in both sports you can also pass the ball too each other.
the ball used in these two sports are completely different. in volleyball the ball is soft and and in cricket the ball is very hard.
In volleyball to score a point the shot made is usually a spike, this is when you strike over the ball too hit it down with you hand very aggressively. In cricket to score the best point possible which is a six you wanna strike through the ball aggressively with the bat and this will most possibly have the same outcome in both shots made.
