Antietam-the creek where McClellan's men fought Lee on September 17, 1862. This battle was the bloodiest single-day battle in American history ever to occur.

Fort Sumpter- the most important southern fort, located on an island in Charleston harbor.

Bull Run- a creek just 25 miles from Washington D.C where the Confederates and Union army battled.

Some soldiers faced with sickness due to weather and hunger since there wasn't a lot of food for everybody, also stomach pains and diet was terrible.

If I was a soldier I would be nervous and scared but I will know I got to keep going and make it through.

Considering these factors, the Union army had more of an advantage in the battle since they had more people, more factories, greater food production, and a more extensive railroad system than the Confederates did. Because of their large population however, their camps were very crowded and unsanitary.

1.b)Though the Confederate army was much smaller than the Union army, they were very strategic and strong on the battle field, which ultimately would lead them to victory. However, they did not necessarily have the advantage considering their poor economy, low population, and low industrialization of goods.

McClellen might not have pursued the Confederate Army after Antietam because he might have been intimidated by how brutal and bloody the battle was. As a result, Lincoln removed him from command.
