My first exposure to him was through his musical 'Hamilton', which quickly became my doorway into modern musicals and their production. I studied ‘Hamilton’ in great depth, analysing Lin's incredible production value and a keen eye for detail. 

Lin has quite a wide scope of music that he creates. Modern rap is used in his musicals, madrigal-style songs were used in movies like ‘Encanto’, and harmonious chorus songs were written for movies like ‘Moana’.

Melanie's songs explore dark and themes and topics that are thought provoking, but are presented in an artistic and beautiful way.
