The role that I have picked for my Graded Unit is a Performer. The reason I have chosen this is because I believe I have the potential to have a career as a performing artist, I am confident in my ability to play my instruments, and I'd like to show how much hard work and effort goes on behind the scenes, the part that usually goes the most unnoticed, overlooked, and unpraised.

Through the portfolio I hope to achieve a collection of my college and other work which shows I have good skills for this role.

I hope to achieve high standards of work, and an understanding of how different areas that I have studied relate my chosen role.

1) a biography containing all the information on when i started learning each of my instruments, the grades i have achieved on each instrument and my abilities on each, which bands i have been a part of, which official events i have taken part in, where my musical career has taken me thus far, and my future goals and aspirations.

2) a recording of my infamous solo at the beginning of the piece 'Kalashnikov', accompanied by the Edinburgh College Street Band

3) a recording of my solo during the medley 'Pirates of the Caribbean' accompanied by the Edinburgh College Student Orchestra

4) evidence of my solo during the piece 'The Bear Necessities' accompanied by the Edinburgh College Street Band

5) footage of me learning and practicing the piece 'Kalamitianos' by Pedro Itturalde

6) a recording of my progress whilst learning the solo 'Pequena Czardas" by Pedro Iturralde
