At the top there was figureheads like the emperor and court nobility. Then we have the actual ruling body which was the Shogun the Daimyo and the samurai.  Clocks- The Portuguese also brought clocks with them to Japan which replaced their old inefficient way of keeping time with a much more precise one.
Eyeglasses- The Portuguese also brought Eyeglasses to Japan which gave people with poor eyesight better vision.
