Ground rules and establish by the group under the leadership of the counselors. This will begin the development of trust, which is a key component for any successful group activity. Students will review the guidelines of confidentiality. Each group member will take the pre-assessment to establish a baseline of their perception of their own employability skills.

STAGE 2 - Each session will introduce a new skill in employment skills. Sessions will include a brief lesson followed by interactive activities. The activities will be geared toward new skills while applying pervious skills learned. Many of the activities will have a competitive nature while working cooperatively. Most adolescent males tourn everything in to a competition so the activities are designed specifically to our audience. This will require strict adherence to the activity guidelines while maintaining interest and participation while maintain respect for all group members. 

STAGE 3 - Week 6 will bring closure when the students take the post-assessment and compare the results to their pre-assessment. This comparison should show growth in confident in their own skills. It is anticipated the group will not want to end the sessions. Transitional leadership provides more direction and structure. This will be a benefit when the group is being established during the first lesson and monitor time management. Each week the desire is to have to demonstrate less transitional leadership and shift to a participative leadership style. 

Participative leadership is the style that best describes how the counselor will lead the group. This style will encourage the students to patriate and take ownership in the group. While some miscommunication can occur, it could lend to having the students further practice their communication skills.
