How to implement PBL effectively in your classroom. 5 Key components we need to get right in order to make PBL a success:
1. Real-world connection: authentic problem that drives the curriculum.
2.core to learning: Provides academic leader. This is the way that they learn the content.
3. Structured collaboration: allowing students to work together but giving them a structure within which to work.
4. Student driven- the teacher becomes a facilitator and students take control.
5. Multifaceted assessment: integrated throughout the whole PBL unit.

Research shows that compared with students receiving traditional instruction those participating in PBL
1. Become more engaged, self- directed learners
2. Learn more deeply and transfer their learning to new situations.
3. Improve problem solving and collaboration skills and
