After all these incredible experiences in performing arts, I have discovered a lot about myself. Firstly, I realized that I am confident in taking initiative and engaging with others. I always thought that I was more interested in dance and movement activities rather than the music ones but after performing arts experiences I realized it was because I did not know how to play instruments very well. Through the activities we engaged with a number of instruments, and I loved it.

By working with performing arts, I have learned that children learn better through dance movements, beats, rhythm, instruments and music. It helps to foster their creativity and emotional expression. Also, planning these activities can build their sense of agency and belonging which further supports their social and emotional wellbeing. Including culture an traditions into performing arts experience can assist children to be connected to their roots and learn from their culture.

I feel comfortable in activities where everyone has a role to play, and nobody feels left out. Also, activities in which there is no spotlight or center of attraction fall into my comfort zone. I feel confident in leading activities that include dance movements and physical gestures along with musical beats to capture children’s attention and make the experience inclusive and engaging.

Throughout these experiences I recognized that there is room of growth in my instrumental skills and learning to play the instruments like ukulele, glockenspiel and other musical instruments, so that I can make performing arts experiences even more interesting. Also, I aim to widen my knowledge of various multicultural and multilingual resources to include them in my practice. This reflective process assisted me to observe and improve my capabilities and areas for improvement, therefore, motivating me to develop my skills for performing arts.nstruments and music. It helps to foster their creativity and emotional expression.
