Facebook and Instagram crashed for a large portion of the day worldwide. Celebrities were in a panic, famous bloggers were in a quandary as to what they were going to do with their lives and so on and so on. Prior to facebook and social media. We called or text our friends on our phones, or heaven forbid actually went and visited them. Internet was dial up and if you couldn't afford a top service there was no chance of you spending hours gazing at your computer. Digital cameras.
I was working in the industry when they were first released. I was absolutely convinced in my mind that although there would certainly be a place in the market for them, that it would be limited to business, graphics and web use. The idea that the digital camera would be a product that would take off for the home user was a concept I couldn't grasp. 

It's human nature to like 'tangible', and I couldn't imagine people getting the joy out of a digital camera experience. No one would print the photos.
How wrong was I?
