Psychological Issues – Stress, anxiety, and depression may all be an adverse effect of contamination, particularly those who dealt with a disaster caused by the oilfield.

General side-effects include visual problems, gastrointestinal issues, and cancer. If the contamination was not direct an individual is more likely to suffer from internal issues than those that can be seen directly.
