I decided to move to the USA because I wanted new opportunities and a chance to grow. I always dreamed about living in a place full of energy and diversity, so I chose to live in New York. I believed it was the perfect place to start a new chapter.

When I arrived, everything felt exciting. I felt some difficulties in adaptation because of the culture, the food and the accent. The city was so fast and the buildings were so tall. The first thing I noticed was how big everything felt, like the city and the roads. Many people were friendly and curious about where I came from.

Sometimes I miss home, my family, and my friends. However, I enjoy discovering new places, trying new foods, and meeting people from around the world, just like me.

Therefore, for all the people who are in the same situation as me, I hope everything goes well!!

Ana- Have you felt difficulties in adaptation to a new country?

Alicia- At first I had many problems duo to the languages barrier and different school sistem.

Ana- I am having the same problems...What do you think I should do?

Alicia- My advice would be to have patient and study with a lot of effect. Patient is key in your situation.

When I arrived, everything was very different for me,the weather was colder than in Portugal, and i saw many bicycles everywhere. People speak english very well, and they are friendly, but also very direct.

The city is very beautiful. The buildings are modern, and there are many nice places to visit,i also like the public transport because it is easy to use

Living here is sometimes difficult because i miss my family and friends,but i'm happy to learn new things and see how life is in another country

You may wonder how i ended up in this situation, well it was really because of my parents, one day they decided that we should move to another place and I had no other option but to accept, it was difficult but exciting at the same time.

At first, I was totally scared, but it has been one of the greatest experiences in my life. Meeting new people, learning a whole different language, going to another school, has been challenging but incredible.

At this moment, I love my life and I am very happy. Being an immigrant has its ups and downs, but i really love it here.

Bea: Oh nice! I went there this summer, it was a really nice country!

- So is it your first time living in a different country?

Maria: Yes, kind of. My parents and I travell a lot but we never lived in another country.

Bea: Oh so tou must fell a little last then, right?

Maria: a little, yes! I am kind of last here, every thing is so different from mexico.

Bea: Don`t worry. You can pass past it. We felt the same the first day here, but people here are very kind and inclusive and made us fell part of here.

Maria: Oh ok! That makes me fell less nervous them.

Bea: If you want to you can stay with us in the brakes until you find your group.

Not even two months ago, I was mulling over my life and came to the conclusion that it felt too boring and ordinary. I wanted to shake it up a little. And by "little" I meant turning it upside down by moving to Luxemburg.

Can you imagine yourself moving from a warm and welcoming country to an ice cold one? Maybe I'm exaggerating but it's real close to my reality now. Don't ask me why I did it, I just wanted a change.

One of the first impressions I got was how serious and stern people's expressions are. They don't show any kind of emotion nor do they salute each other on the street like we do in Portugal. They also have different eating habits here. Lots of fish and curiously cold salads with vegetables are the standard. I guess I'll have to get used to it.

Nevertheless, I'm proud of my decision. I think this is my opportunity to mature, grow up mentally and get to know more of our planet.

Today I want to tell you about my experience of moving to a different country.

I used to live in Portugal my whole life, but less than a year ago I moved to Ireland with my parents.

It was a really big change for me because everything was totally different from my home country.

At the beginning, I felt nervous because everything was new: the language, the food, the traditions and even the school system.

However, people here are very friendly and kind and made me fell like i was part of here so I slowly started to feel more comfortable.

Sometimes I still miss Portugal, but I am happy for this new journey of my life.

I know that everyone says that moving to another country is hard, and I not going to lie is a little dificult, but is a very good feeling when you do it. I chose korea, because since I was young I had the dream to travel to there, because I loved the culture, specially the kpop. For being a country that are in another continent I felt a lot of differences. The first impression that I have in the country was the dificult of the language. It’s very hard to learn korean, trust me i’ve been living here for ten years and my korean still not good, which ends up being a callenge for me because I work in the law’s area and I need to understand the law books and speak in court.

So, it’s easier than you think move to another country. Of course, that you going to “freak out” in the beginning, because you don’t know anyone, it’s a new language, new’s costumes, but with the time, you going to start noticing that was you’re best opcion moving to the country that you always dreamed of.

Don’t be afraid, just follow your heart and your passion.

I chose to live in Porto, because I've always dreamed of living in a busy and active place where I can have new opportunities and a chance to grow economically.

I want to discover new places, nem foods and meet new people.

For me it is a perfect place to start a new chapter.

After a lot of years living in the same country, at the age of twenty I decided to move to the united states not only because it is a beautiful country, but also because tou earn more here and there are move jobs. The culture is different from Portugal, and you notice that right away.

The biggest differences I noticed were in the people, the climate, and the food. People speak differently and are more direct. The climate changes a lot and is very different from Portugal. The food is also different.

In the end, moving to another country was a big change, but also a good experience. I learn new things every day and appreciate my country more.

In the beginning everything felt a bit weird,the language, the food, even the way people say hi here. I missed my family and my friends a lot. But after some time I started to get use to it. Now I really like the new things around me and I feel like I’m changing a little too.

Moving to another country is not always easy, but it teaches you a lot. You find out how strong you can be and you start to see how the small things matter.

I suppose that the message “One I was like you” means if he was in a normal situation, with money, and saw a homeless in the street, he would help.

If I saw a homeless in the street I would give money, food and company to help him and give to him some comfort.

Firstly, small actions help people now. For example, giving a piece of bread is better

than thinking about ending hunger.

Another reason is that intentions are invisible. Only actions show our true feelings.

However, many people only talk and do nothing. This is a problem because

In conclusion, I believe that doing something small is the

best way to live.
