Firstly, I want to say that I am a person who is always committed with the learning process, that is why I try to learn different vocabulary everyday. Thus, one of my strengths is to be curious and I’m keeping learning, I ams also good at looking up games on different websites to review and tests myself. Besides, I do love learning idioms, and watch some British channels on Youtube.Secondly, I would like to highlight my lack of self confidence might decrease my oral production and also if I work on that I may avoid making mistakes. Other weakees that I have is my listening skills.

I've see plenty of videos related to how ameliorate listening skills and one of those pieces of advice was to use real material such as podcasts, series, movies, songs and tv programs. In addition, I want to start with a listening test to measure my understanding and at the end, I would like to try another listening test in order to check if I could improve or not.

On the one hand, I’ve had a hard time increasing my understanding in different sort of conversations. At the beginning, I had a breakdown because I started to listen to really academic podcast, for instance medicine or politics so I got stressed and frustrated, so I decided to change the topic for another one. The result of it was great because I could understand better and I did enjoy to listen to those podcasts even I learned new words. On the other hand, I think series and TV programs haven’t helped me because I just fall asleep. Although, I tried with different series and TV programs. Nevertheless, I have to highlight that the song strategy was a total success. Although it was tough at the beginning I could learn different abbreviations and vocabulary so I could write more and more each time that I listened a different song.

Nevertheless, I'll try different strategies such as swimming, scanning, summarizing and among other. All of that in order to know which one fixes better to me. Moreover, I am going to read one book per month, 1 book from Penguin Readers each week and insect of watching Colombian news on TV, I would rather to read global news on the BBC website. Lastly, ending each month, I’ll take a reading test from the MET or IELTS test.

To ameliorate my reading comprehension has been an enjoyable activity because I’ve learned a lot from the books, but I have to say that some of the ideas I wrote previously were not the best ones. Therefore, in my opinion to read news were not the the funniest idea to improve; I may increase some academic vocabulary, but I didn't find them fructicious. However, reading books which liked I memorized words easily and I review some grammar structures as well. In short, books are a really help to boost vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation (because sometime I used to read aloud and I had doubts about different words) and listening (because some Penguin Readers books have CDs so it means that one part of the reading I just listened to it and I tried to write the main ideas and then compare them with the book. The other part, I just read and asked myself questions). To end up, it was a little bit hard to read a level 4 book from Penguin Readers, but I did my best and I expanded my vocabulary and I could finally understand the Level 6 book.

In my opinion, I have to work on confidence, but I know it will be a solved problem soon.
