Today’s activities helped me loose even more my hands, and therefore added a lot to my goal of loosing up my way of drawing to achieve my own/personal style.

Morning
I found the first activity really enjoyable, it was the one to really help me loosen up, drawing a bottle of beer. I experimented adding lots of really black spots and working with the depths of the glass bottle. Improving my way of drawing those.
The second one I didn’t really like though. I never enjoyed drawing without taking the pen off the paper since I don’t like the results, plus the challenge of using the stick to draw added more difficulty to the exercise.

1st Activities
The grid in the room was an amazing experience, it was like as if I’d just stepped in a huge art work. It gave fullness to the space and at the same time emptiness due to the spaces in between strings. It had separated the volume of the room in so many forms and provided a total different perspective of it.
There were a lot of difficulties in the two first drawings, the first one because of the black spaces and the second one showed itself as an amazing creativity exercise and therefore a difficult challenge to go through.

2nd Activity
Life drawing is always an amazing experience! I love painting, but I’m still working on getting it done in a way that pleases me. The watercolor pencil was a totally different experience, and I loved it, you can draw normally and then add the movements of the brush and paint.
Note: drawing on the floor affects a lot the proportions of the final drawing.

Morning
I enabled the grid on my smartphone so it was really easy to use it and fit the objects in it. It helps to get really great framing since it’s set on the 3x3 grid. So it was really enjoyable to fit the soroundings in a simetrical position.
The photos in which I could include nature and human creations were the best for me.
With beautiful framings we can create pleasing gifs.

Afternoon
In the afternoon we went to the photo studio, to learn the safety procedures and how to operate in there. We took two different “set” of photos. The first one was our collection objects in studio lighting, the second one was an amazing practice of taking a photo with a wide time open shutter, we turned off the lights and in the dark while a friend was holding the shutter on the camera we were supposed to “draw” with the flashlight that we brought from home, and the results were awesome! We drew many different forms and they were all incredible in their own way! <3 Simply loved it <3

Today we had an introduction to photoshop and it’s basics, and to creating gifs in Adobe After Effects. Both were really cool activities.
Nowadays is critical that we all know how to deal with "basic" computer programs for editing, thus this introductions were really important.

Monoprint:
Procedures: We need to use a small amount of paint (acrylic and oil based), this affects in the whole result of the work. Wash the instruments with solvent after use and alcohol.
It’s an amazing experience, the results are always amazing, and if done according to the professor’s instructions (as always) it will end up always good
Notes: It’s a procedure that requires adaptation of the way of drawing

Screenprint:
Procedures: The image needs to be treated in Photoshop (Day 06), it needs to be in black and white and with a high contrast. Then it needs to be printed in special paper and go through the entire process of serigraphy, which includes transferring the image on the paper to the serigraphy screen throughout a special uv reactive ink. With the screen ready one can start the serygraphy itself, using a special table which holds the paper and the screen and a special acrylic paint, with a spatula.
Was an amazing experience. The smell that stays on the room is really strong. The images at the end are really cool to observe, with a dot pattern that creates the whole transition shading effect.

In this day we did a perspective study learning about the Vanishing Points (1,2,3,4,5 - Explained with drawings on Sketchbook) and applying that on the classroom and our objects. We also did a photo shut of our objects with professor Cézar applying what’s we had learn about focusing and depth of field (shallow...) [NEED TO FIND MY PHOTOS WITH FRIENDS/They are in our e-mail (from Isadora) stupid Past Me -.-]

ORIGAMI PROJECT
During this two days we started a unexpected project: DO CLOTHING WITH PAPER. As strange as it seems it was a super cool experience, I discovered that I actually have some creativity, even though my final piece was really predictable and made based on simple thoughts/ideas I really enjoyed the result and the making of it! It was really calming... and actually brought my mom and I tigether since she taught me a way of folding the paper and gave me the ideia of doing crochet, we as humans work better and more happily with loved ones around us.
ON DAY 11 we watched an amazing documentary on Origami, I was able to get some names of professionals, but as always couldn’t stay in place/focused, but also as always I heard a lot of it while drawing.
[CATWALK UPDATE] The catwalk was scary. My anxiety did not made it better, because even though I’m my head it’s all alright my body started sweating a lot and ruined a lot of my outfit. But just like any challenge, the feeling in the end was great.

September 21st
Crit Day
Personally I was shocked on how many colleagues loved my work. The thinking process was just as It always happens: I received the proposal of doing the number 01, had some inicial thoughts on how to do it and fixed on the ideia of doing it in negative and with the paradox between the 01 and 02-03 (principal ideas: contrasts between MEN/WOMEN, FIRST/SECOND AND THIRD COUNTRIES, SECOND AND THIRD CHANCES). After doing the skeleton of my project (black box) I settled with the ideia of doing the countries paradox with photos and the one on negative and on the other side of the box do the men/women conflict in negative as well. Once I was looking at my box I started doing copper details and painting, and so on the ideia started molding it self, and when I noticed I had already done bloody details, the spills and the hand, and thought how I could compare it with the other one on the other side of the box, I thought about doing a comparison with wealthy countries that explored Africa (chosen due the huge exploration of its territory and population) and asked myself “Was it worth it?”, for me it was not, so I wrote “empty” as an answer. And finally had my project complete. Just added some “appearance” details.

On this very first day of the new Project we had the introduction on the photography world, about it's history, that's why we were asked to Research on the early history of it. Then we took a look on our find photos and did a basic avaluation of them.

CRAFTING AND TAKING PICTURES WITH FILTERS
This was a really nice day, we crafted our filters with transparent objects we could find, the aura on the classroom was really nice. I dind't have some "out of the line" ideas, so I did what I like most, colour experiments, all my filters were made in a colorful diferent way, I used nail polish and layers of dry pastel: the nail polish ones were really opaque, even the most thin layer I could do; the pastel ones had results that I liked a lot, I made then with a thin layer of pastel taken from a more thick layer of it on paper.

DESTROY THE IMAGE (CUTTING/ADDING/SEWING)
This was a hard day for me, I felt really like a fish out of the water because every single one of my colleagues had amazing ideas and developments of their pictures, and I just could not think in something I could do, I had no creativity whatsoever, and ended up with a really mediocre result that I didn't like at all. The best part of my modifications (that was the red clown nose) wasn't even made by me, it was the amazing teacher Roger that had the idea, and I really loved it, I'm relly thankful to him.
In the afternoon we had a general introduction on how to develop RAW files with Alex, it was understandable and kind of easy, like a photoshop on a RAW less "heavy" file.

MAKING 2D IMAGES INTO 3D
This was the most dificult/sad day for me. I had help from both teachers (Roger and Lauren) and couldn't do anything that I liked, I just could not think about it, I had no ideas. But with time Lauren gave me a really nice ideia!, mixing origami and the photos!

SEPT 17th
LECTURE FROM FILIPE GRIMALDI (TYPE DESIGN WORKSHOP)
On this lecture Filipe presented his skills and a little bit of his history in the typography world (graduated in design). He also talked about the research we were suppose to have done on types (didn't do it), presenting the history of type, starting in symbols in the antique time, then moving to caligraphy with the slaves, then moving to typography and finally to lettering. He also talked about a lot of technical terms about types (were supposed to be on the research).
THEN Monique instructed us on drawing a letter from the phrase "Consider Everything an Experiment". I got the letter X, and just went with a sudden natural flow that possessed me, and did an "X-Tree".
WALL PAINTING
After lunch we started painting our letters on the wall outside our classroom, since my X was a really "fancy" letter, I was one of the last ones to paint the wall, staying after hours to finish it. I got so into my X that even asked teacher Monique if I could do it on the stairs, and she actually liked the ideia.
PS.: I was really missing my x this week. (Influenced a lot on my work)

We went to the Cemitério São Paulo and it was an awful experience... I hate myself for feeling it, because I love so much doing this kind of field research, but this time I was really really sensitive, I was so sensitive that once I got there I felt really bad, and almost threw up 2 times. So don't hope to learn a lot from this post Future Me!!! I'm gonna finish preparing the photos of the letters that I took there, but beside it I don't really remember anything, just that it was terryfing... Ya! Después te veo Future Me!

Is Love Really Worth It? (Personal Reflection/ Like REALLY PERSONAL REFLECTION, YOU DON'T NEED TO READ IT - CARLOS AND MICHAEL... AND LAUREN)

Due to my recent break up i've been having hard days, the course has really helped me, a lot. Even though I've always been aware of how much this relationship affected me, I've never could see how it affects my art.
Big story short, it affects a lot, there were a lot of days in which I couldn't produce anything, at all, and on the days that i could actually do something it was always on my mind, influencing my thoughts, my hands... On the first two or three weeks of the course I was on control of it all, but once i couldn't handle it anymore it started weighting a lot on everything, there was even a day that I was absent due to an anxiety crises that i had because of it.
But I found a goal, a person I admire and am trying to be like her, Verinha. She is an inspiration, an inspiration to my mind and my work. I started focusing on my mind, meditating everyday on a streak until today (22.09) and my mind has surprised me on the Movable Type Project, I did things I thought I couldn't, my Letter X and my Number One are huge conquests for me, those were two creations of my own, the first time I actually created something that I really enjoyed, even though I don't think they are not great works (aesthetically and artistically speaking) they are amazing works in my Life.
I think about my x everyday, a lot, all the time, I always knew we were going to end it sometime, since the moment we broke up the first time after just a few weeks of dating, but I just had the curiosity to see were it would take me and then I had the extreme fear of losing it, and finally came to this point. We had conquered so much, and I would still feel a strong emptiness and sadness on my core... I'm really confused, I'm still wating for her to beg to be with me again, but logically speaking it might never happen... Anyways, Is love really worth all of this mess? Yes, it is. It hurts, a lot, but it's what makes us grow, and the more it hurts the more it was special, and the more it impacted in our lifes, my works, on my good months of dating, were really "soft" and "light" and on the bad months my works didn't even exist, now, on the mourning, things are really strange, but who am I trying to kid? I'm loving it, and hating it at the same time, and this is the more amazingly strange I have ever felt! I consider myself an artist! And I am proud to! I love being an artist, and feeling and allowing myself to feel it all, and I don't want to give an specific meaning to it, I AM AN ARTIST FOR FUCK SAKES, it's amazing.... my ambiguity is amazing.

SEPT 19th
Today was really special, for the first time in this 5 weeks we were able to use an entire work day just to think about what were we going to do! I thought about it for a huge while (in my perspective/Probably just an hour gathering all the time spent on it) and AS ALWAYS, AND IN THE WAY THAT I ABSOLUTELY LOVE ABOUT MYSELF I changed the final idea in the last minute LOL.
At first I couldn't think of something that really pleased me, it took me a lot of time. In the end of the day I had this really kind o gorey feeling. The number one always reminds people of FIRST, SPECIAL, UNIQUE, UNTOUCHABLE, it also makes a lot of people I know feel inferior or unworthy, and I simply hate that, so I want to make a "suffered" number one, a number one that shows the other number behind it, that brings to us the feeling of not being the number one, sometimes the first place come with a huge amount of work and dedication, and sometimes it doesn't.
I want to do a number one that shows that, with barbed wire and redish paint or resin to represent blood, the thick blood that fills our veins and keep us alive, the blood that along with the sweat represents our efforts, our suffering, our reality and life.
I just had this gorey idea of doing something less cute and pleasant that I am really used to do.
(This entry really represents my way of thinking, it only develop itself once I have the object of work in my hands [refer to Day 04 of this Project])

SEPT 20th
Today we started crafting our projects, and I had to change my project, because I was thinking about doing it with barbed wire!... Buuut as the kid that still am, I didn't manage to get my hand on one of those, and changed my ideia.
I went with the "Cardboard box boring method" as always, since I am kind of stupid about changing my ideas of how to work in a diferent medium than paper (BUT DON'T WORRY, WE ARE GONNA BEAT THIS PROBLEM LIKE BRAD PITT IN SNATCH! Please Future Me, tell me if it worked...). SO! I started seeing the box in the usual way, thinking about using it as a box, with a #1 in one side an a #1 in the other side.... aaaand suddently I started seeing it with some different eyes AND IT WAS REALLY AMAZING, IT WAS THE FIRST TIME I STARTED SEEING A "CARDBOX" IN A DIFERENT WAY, so I started moving it around, and folding it in ways that i would, and suddently BOOM I started to like it, than I painted in the way Rodrigo was painting his, with nankim, I got it all black. But Dani cutted half her finger off, so I stopped a while to help her cut her cardboard. Then the class was over...
Once I got home I started changing my idea, even thought I had already printed (and payed) some images of 2nd and 3rd World Countries to build a negative #1 with 2nd and 3rd world countries (noice, right?) BUT i started not liking it AAAND got my copper paint, and started painting a part of the box and I had the ideia of using blood (fake...) (because of my broken heart...) (but I didn't had it...) so I used a nail polish called REBU (Risqué) and put it in the copper, and then i saw a transparent paper (forgot the name) and put a drop of polish on it, and had the ideia of putting my hand on it. And that's how I developed my Africa Project! Experimenting! Just as John Cage told us to!

On this day (This is Future Me writing) we learned how to do the book biding with our project photos, I was late on editing my photos, and lost a looooot of time, and lost the book biding presentation with the group... I got a bit late on Solange's presentation, so in the end I just payed attetion to ONE thing: HOW FUCKING AMAZING SHE IS! She conquered so much in her still short time on this earth... I've got to research about her more, so: Solange Hoppen.
In the end everything worked out, Monique was lovely to me and said I could do the book biding even after the class was over, so I rushed to the mac lab, had my problems printed, asked Duilio for help, and printed my photos, then I rushed upstairs to the 4th floor, and Joyce helpped me with the Japanese Book Biding technique , it's really easy. PROTEST - DAY 01 - A SIMPLE, YET COMPREHENSIVE IDEA

In this very moment of my existence I’m focused on changes, being resilient and adapting myselft to the different outcomes, and that made me think on what do I consider valide to keep “still” in my life as the changes come, and love is the answer, is a characteristic of us human beings, and it’s the most strong of them all, it exerces a power over every human that is not comparable to any other force. But love is vanishing nowadays, we are feeling less, and preventing ourselves from feeling. “LESS MIND, MORE LOVE” ➖🧠➕♥️
I wasn’t able to convince my colleague to exchange/take one of my values, this indicates a lack of communication on my part, now how do I change that? How can I communicate better with others?
As a quick brainstorm, everyone says we need to understand the others point of view in exchange to “work” it. Am I not empathic enough? I believe I am, and came to the conclusion that what lacks in me is experience, knowledge of others realities, I need to go out more, talk more, and meet more people and their thoughts on life.

PROTEST - DAY 02 - A SIMPLE, YET COMPREHENSIVE IDEA

GRID: Structure to aid/help arrange the composition.
I did as told, planned 10 different grids. My initial proposal did not change at all, I still wanna do “Less mind, more heart”, and the way I wanna display it still the same, I imagined just a black background with the symbols just as simple as possible on strong colors on the middle. So even though I planned 10 different grids with different patterns, such as the Áurea Proportion, and halfs and thirds, and so many more, I still want to do my initial ideia, so I’m gonna focus on that!
I drew 5 different styles of hearts and really loved 4 of them (I just didn’t like the Math Heart) and I plan on using Red/Black/White on it! It is raw and very simple colours which claims a lot of attention when combined.
I also forced myself to draw 5 different brains, and I liked the most simple and common one, the others weren’t very appealing, and I couldn't create a differen brain.
I also glued reference photos of my research on Alex Senna on my Sketchbook, since his works talk a lot about love [refer to Research]! And some types to maybe use with the poster, symple and easy yet pleasent types.

“ROAD TO HELL” - Where will I stop???
“How to be a graphic designer without loosing your soul”
Today we had a presentation that started with these titles, and we did an exercise on “ethics”, it was just a reflection that I had already make with myself, how far will I go with a project? Am I gonna put a stop sign on it? And yes, I will! I will do as far as it does not hurt me and my beliefs. I won’t do contents that include nazism, racism and other thing I find repulsive. Just as in tattoo, I can refuse to do a job I do no feel confortable with. It doesn't matter if I will not have money of even food, as long as I stick to my beliefs and honor I will find a way of overcoming any problems, so help me God.
How to stage a Protest: D&AD Impact winners / Creative Conscience Awards
I did my first experiments with mini layouts that are super cute. I worked on choosing one and talking to Lauren on how to do them in a more easy and interesting way. Our conclusion was serigraphy :) We could do a lot of huge poster without having to pay to print it and still have a model to do even more, besides that it will have the uniqueness that I love in serigraphy

PROTEST - DAY 04 - A SIMPLE, YET COMPREHENSIVE IDEA

This is a really short entry, because from 10am when I arrived until 7pm I did just ONE thing, I literally ran to the printing room and started printing my posters, with a total of 45 Heart Brains posters, and an extra one that I couldn’t finish because I did not had the time for Skully.
I started with the red heart. Professor Monique assisted me on this first part. She taught me how to improve the vacum on the machine just by blocking some of the little holes around the area where ones paper is going to be placed. With my paper really steady on the table and the screen really tight so I could deal with it better, I started production, the hearts were relly beautyful on their on, with a soft form and a really strong red. But I was not done yet.
I proceeded to mixing a perfect "Pinky Brain" colour. I loved the result. I used white as a base, a dark pink and lots of yellow to achieve the fleshy tone instead of the pinky fake tone. Since the white paint was really old it formed some conglomerate of paint, with a really mushy texture, so I needed to work more on the mixture, by adding water and mixing it A LOT so it would become more smooth and not clog the screen.
Once that was done, I proceeded to print the brain [or Brazil's map as some would say], it was just fine.
Once I got to the final and last part I came across the hardest challenge of the hole project. The black area was too huge for me, so I needed help from Marcelo, I could not pull the serigraphy spatula, it was really heavy due to the huge area of black that required painting. Basically it required more strenght to pull the spatula.
Finally, with all the three steps done, it resulted in a amazing really pleasent poster. With a strong yet soft aesthetic, and a good combination of colours and spacement. The printing texture gave the poster a "plus" and the matte finish of the paint really gave a fullfines of the painting space [PT: O efeito da cor blocada ficou muito bom e combinou com toda a composição do poster]
So, great day of producing!!!
I also lost a shirt to pink paint.

PROTEST - FINAL DAY

A SIMPLE, YET COMPREHENSIVE IDEA
I had a huge Adrenalin rush. On the am part we started our protest, I finished my printings and Placards that said “Let the dog days be over” and “We are thinking too much”, so I went on protesting on the streets. Which for me was taping the Heart Mind posters on walls, lightposts and even cars. So I had the Adrenalin rush and felt really really bad afterwards, I just stayed until my presentation on the crit. People actually liked a lot my project on the streets according to my colleagues, and my colleagues found it really direct and nice. There were not many commentaries on it since I achieved what I wanted, I did a really direct and “enxuto” project! With a really direct and comprehensive message! Yay me!

SELF PUBLISHING - DAY 01

Today we had introduction to Zines! MAGAzines lol Zines are underground fanmade little magazines, with short and different stories, or not even with a story at all, just drawings or artistic “things”, like those different photos or naked people or I don’t know... I’m kinda grossed out with a zine of a couple having sex in the college bathroom that we [my group] found on the library...
Anyways, today we did our first Zines, “How to” zines, my colleagues had really amazing ideas and I just sticked with my boring normal ideas. So I did “How to Cat” and “How to Red” and “How to Birb”. I loved the two first.
"How to Cat" - Is about a collection of "cat situations" that cat owners have to deal with almost everyday. I know it because I have a really spoiled cat named Luffy, he was my inspiration for this first Zine. I used really loose and "childish" strokes. It resulted in a funny [for me] zine, people liked it too, but as a cute joke. I got really excited with these idea. really really excited, just because i was able to do it in such a loose way.
"How to Birb" - [Birb = Bird. It's the funny web way to which birds are reffered to in memes - funny short pictures of videos]
How to Birb was born from the same impulse as How to Cat, I owned a few birdies during my childhood, and until today is the animal I admire and maybe even love the most! Most people find it kind of pointless as a pet, since you can't relate with it the same way one relates to a dog or a cat [more common pets], but I simply love them in a way I can't describe.
Because of that past, I am really into bird videos and photos, including the Birb Memes. That's how "How to Birb" was born.
It came out as a really undeveloped idea lol but I liked it too, since it was about something I love so much. But it's not ready to be transformed into something worth to be sold.
"How to Red" - Is about iconic objects/characters/persons that are related to the colour RED.
The Red in the cover was written in Blue to cause an irony between the colours.
In it I included Pikachu [whose cheeks are really redish], a man wearing red lipstick [but I absolutely hated it, just because I did it since there is a huge movement on equality of rights and so on... and it just was not something natural for me, so i simply blew it], Kratos [the character from God of War, one of Playstation's most iconic game. I completely adore Luigi, and people always call him Green Mario or think less of him, and because of that I also drew him showing the middle finger] and a pad with a red inverted heart representing the blood and in a certain way the love, but kinda of distorced since mentruation is something considered gross even though it comes clean out of women bodies and represents life itself, since it occures due to a not fertilized egg.

30 IDEAS + Lectures

Even though I was absent on this day due to a workshop I commited to go, I caught up with what was developed on this day. At first I talked to Carlos who told me it was extremely important that I came up with at least 30 ideias for my zine.
I based myself on the commute I made that day, and came up with the first 18 ideas, they were easy and common ideas based on everyday life, nothing too special, just raw ideas of, for instance, transportation (Bus / Train). Such raw ideas could be developed in more complex ones, like a little story of someones commute or a diferent situation that occured on someones way to work on the transportation . The other 12 ideas came throughout the next day in class with the help of my friends, just some random supperficial words that, just as in the first ideas, could be developed in a more complex context.
Also Leticia lended me her annotations of the 2nd Day, which I wrote as an observation in pink on my sketchbook, which just gave me a really superficial idea of the lecture that took place that day since she did not found it interesting and told me that due to that she only wrote a small amount of key words.

Independent Idea Development
Today was a really amazing day for me. I love to have the time to develop my projects during classes, it makes ideas come easier.
I was really lost on what to do. I felt really incompetent because I saw my friends and colleagues having really incredible ideas for the story and on the media they would use, and I couldn't think of anything, not the idea neither the media.
Since I really enjoyed our first experiment with Zines on the "How to" activity I decided to work on those.
First I separated the booklets that I thought people would enjoy on the fair. So I chose "How to Red" and "How to Cat".
The first step I chose to follow was to take references from the Book "Whacha mean, what's a zine?" which I mencioned on the Research board. I wanted a more comic and funny style of drawing, I wanted to adapt my style to the media i was gonna use (Zine).
I spent the whole afternoon and beginning of the night copying some drawings that I really enjoyed their styles. After that I did some Formats of Zines for which I found the instructions on the same book.
On this day I also came to a conclusion, I don't like my cute/conventional style of drawing, and since I am really into the german hard rock band Rammstein right now, which has a really "gorey" and "raw" style [Refer to Research Padlet], I want to do a more gorey zine. I want it to impact others, to be "strong" for sensible audiences, I want to develop this side of me into my drawings. So I began with the Sonne {Zoh-nê} project.
The Birth of Sonne Project:
Based on a tattoo that I saw, I drew the first element I thought was gorey enough to include in The Sonne Project, a bloody crow [which can be seen on the photo below]. I also drew other elements I found where just as disturbing, some "rolled" eyes, mouths, skinny bodies in uncommon positions, skulls with eyes and goo, with a more loose and thick lined style. Those took me time, but I could come up with some doodles that pleased me. I really want to develop this into something

Continuing Idea development
Today it finally hit me that the original How to Red style wasn't appealing at all to the public.
Friends told me I should redraw the Zine, and finally I agreed with it. Today I started with Kratos and Deadpool.
I want a really strong bloody red on Kratos, and decided to use watercolour.
Since it's watercolour I did not go a great opacity, so I diluted Red Tattoo Ink in water and used it. I got a better result.
Deadpool and Spidey were done in the same exact way, and came out really good too.

It was really dificult for me to come to a pleasant result during the few hours we had to work, so I had to continue the project on a diferent day.
I putted some eletronic music because everyday when Leticia gives me a ride to EBAC we listen to this genre, it is her favorite, so it really gave me the feeling that she was acctualy driving.
I really wanted to use the beer bottle because it is the most important element on my Collection, it is present in everything that I do. And it came out perfectly! Leticia loves to drink, she drinks A LOT, and that was just perfect...
I took a metal tube and asked her to use it as if it was part of the car's gearbox, and pretend to be drinking from the bottle while driving.

The Sonne Project

It was an initial idea development for a more disturbing Zine. An idea that was heavily influenced by German Neue Deutsche Härte band named Rammstein. Their heavy rock and industrial rock musics were a perfect initial point, plus their strong disturbing footages were an amazing influence to the development of a more unusual drawing style.
I love to refer to this particulary disturbing drawing style as Raw. It brings to me the idea of something not refined, in its rawness expliciting a cruel, harsh way of stroking and drawing.
Thus rawness to me represents a particular way of visualy representing a idea with more unrefined and primal strokes or drawing, not necessarily representing a disturbing or cruel idea itself.
Sonne showed itself as a rather extremely disturbing idea, friends that saw the doodles for it already found it disturbing, once my mom saw a drawing in development she found it even more disturbing. That made me come to the following conclusion, it is for a very specific public.
With it being to a more specific public I decided to stop the project, and continue it independently, with time and calm to reach really disturbing and raw outcomes.
I see Sonne as a baby, my baby. I want to make grow it as large as it can.
I understand that the path to it will be pretty hard, I will need to get in more touch more with disturbing stuff, but it will be worthy.

Nacht became a more soft, and even cute little version of Sonne.
Nacht is about the night we can really see unclose. A little monster that is actually a piece of the night is trapped in a glass jar.
The Thing releases it, and we can see it going back to the sky to be a part of the Night.
Nacht represents the unknown in a mystic and "magical" way.

Today I continued developing my project. Sonne is really evolving me, but I'm not sure on how to do it. I want it to be really impactful and disturbing, but I do not have what it takes to do it yet.
So I started refining my "How To"s.
I started with the Cat, doing a new style on a new piece of paper, following the first idea, the only thing that changed was the style itself.
Then I prepared it on InDesign and started printing.
I also prepared a new file for How To Red and printed it as well.
The prints were really good, and I started folding them on this very day and thinking on how I could improve their appearance.
Tape is a great way of doing improvements and since I found coloured tapes I chose to use them.
Blue for How to Red, so it will continue ironic, and orange for How to Cat.
Nacht is being developed. I have a first blueprint and am currently refining it.
I hope it turns out as a really good idea, I love the proposal, but am unsure on how I am going to put in paper...
I achieved a final outcome, it's kind of okay, there is something missing though... and I can't really tell what it is.

Today was a really stressful day.
I had to run against the time to complete everything.
I finished the first copies of "How to Red" and "How to Cat", taped them and separated the "How to Cat"in the Colored Edition and the Colouring Edition.
I ran to finish my Skully posters in the printing room, just the green goo was left to be printed, so it was really fast. Then I cleaned everything I used, specially my screen, which took me a lot of time, but it is perfectly clean.
I took my Skully posters back to class.
I spent the rest of the day until around 6pm finishing Nacht, and I am completely in LOVE with it. I still can't believe I actually did it. I used watercolour and achieved an amazing result, all the hardness that was missing suddenly were there with the black colour I used. I am really happy with it.
I spent the rest of the time working on painting Skully with watercolour as well to give it more dimension.
I also used my yellow text marker in the goo so it would have a more 3D effect to it.

Today I focused on getting all my materials ready to be delivered to the assessment, thus I spent the whole morning and lunch time preparing all of that and doing my Risk Assessment.
I talked to Carlos and showed Nacht and explained that since I had just finished it on the other day, it was not possible for me to print and sell it. Carlos completely disagreed, and told me to focus on doing it, I said I would do it after lunch so I could prepare my materials.
Henry assisted me and we had great ideas on how to do Posters and Postcards with Nacht, and loved the ideas.
We started working on that, but the printer is out of order... so I can't print anything and thus I have to let go of that idea...

I didn't know at all what to expect of Millôr's exposition. I had never heard of him or his works.
With my high heels on, I climbed the stairs up to Gallery 01. The door pleased me and once I opened it I was mesmerized. I lost track of time. My feet hurt a lot, but I didn't stop.
"How can there be so many ideas in someone's head?" I though, and like in a book, my father [who was with me] aproached me and asked the same exact question.
