Furthermore, schools, churches, and restaurants exist throughout the community. Santa Clarita varies because there are apartments, condominiums, houses, and mansions. These areas were often seen as barren land, until filled up by Levitt's houses. Levittown was not too far away from the city, where most people worked, but provided a tranquil environment that could not be found inside the city sector itself. Santa Clarita also is located away from the city (LA) but is fairly close enough for a daily commute to work. Suburban areas were a favorable area to raise children, as more people had children during the time Levittown existed. Parts of Santa Clarita evidently draw inspiration from early Levittown, such as suburban districts, and the distinct separation of these areas through different structures of homes, streets, and names of streets and communities. Though the majority of Santa Clarita is Caucasian, Levittown was entirely Caucasian. Santa Clarita is still home to people of diverse background and cultures. Furthermore, there is more than one church and school per community. Levittown home pricing is modest, but in recent years, Santa Clarita home prices have gotten moderately more expensive than traditional means. Furthermore, homes are no longer modern, but traditional. Commuting is still a must for working people, as there jobs available are very specific. However, as more industries continue to move into Santa Clarita, commuting will gradually fade away.
