Today we got put in our pairs and discussed ideas for our e-books, we created mind maps and wrote our project proposals we also had some practise on photoshop. I added as much detail into my mind maps and project proposals so that i have a clear start off plan for a possible children's e-book. By practising skills on photoshop this will allow me to be able to have enough skills to use photoshop independently in the future, this way i can use photoshop for my characters for my e-book so they can look as successful and professional as i can possibly make them for my e-book.

i need to become more confident with photoshop.i will be carrying out focus groups for research for my e-book

Today i have finished all characters and all their angles by drawing out the characters and using photoshop to add colour to the characters, by doing the different angles for these characters i am able to animate the characters to move or my e-book.
On photoshop i use the levels to brighten the background and sharpen the lines so i have a clearer area to fill in with the colours needed for the characters. To get rid of the background i unlock the layer of the character and add another layer so that i have something behind my characters, i remove the surrounding area of the character by using the magnetic lasso on photoshop so that none of my character gets cut away when i use the magic wand to remove the background.
i am very happy with the stage i am at now with production of the children's e-book, can now focus on narration,foley and animation in upcoming sessions and should finish my e-book within the deadline time.
Today i also watched a tutorial from dave of animation on final cut pro so that next week when i do the narration for my children's e-book and start on animation i will have knowledge of how to make characters move, i need this knowledge so i will be able to animate my characters to walk along.
i also have checked over my padlet page and made some improvements and added pieces of work that i was missing from my padlet.

Today i planned to finish drawing and editing the characters on photoshop including their colours i managed to finish this in good time, which mean i am ahead of my schedule plan. I also was hoping that since i was ahead i could also get the audio recording of the narration for my e-book which me and megan had planned to do next week. But i printed off the script for the narration and assigned who was reading what and put in more punctuation. By doing this work today we were able to get ahead with our work. We still need to put in our backgrounds and start animation we also still need to record and inout audio. The work from today i am very happy with and the characters look better than what i had imagined.

Next week we will put all our background images on to the picture and get our narration and possibly a few voices done for our e-book after we have had our meeting and taken minutes. But over all i am very happy with the progress that we are making with our e-book so far.

Today i wanted to get some of the audio completed and sort out my pad let page to be able to make sure that i am up to date with my coursework. After going through my pad let with hannah i was able to see what i was missing from my pad let. By looking at the ual criteria and the checklist i was able to check off what work i was missing and what work i needed to improve i have added some documents to my pad let page and have been able to check off some boxes on the checklist to ensure when the work is being marked i have got as much information and research to push my marks up. I will continue my coursework from the checklist during the half term. Today me and megan also used the recording equipment to record our narration and character voices and have uploaded them onto final cut pro to be able to put our visuals and audios together to create the final e-book.
I am apply with the progress made today and shall continue tonsure all my course work is as up to the highest standard that i can.

1-hand draw background-cartoon the backgrounds up maybe use a sketch filter.
-slightly change the story line due to it could be seen as slightly pedofillic.
-in the storyline it could be more realistic when she goes back to the wizard for a resolution there could be a problem occur here to show its not that easy to change things back.
2-the characters fitted well with the backgrounds, it was magical which also fits the story line.
-wasnt sure why when there was all the school children why lofty was wearing her own clothes when all the other characters were wearing uniform.
3-this e-book is suitable for the age group that this book is aimed at.
4-favourite part was the teenagers and lotty and her mother walking up the road,people belied that it was a good representation of teenagers.
5-the audio and wording to this children's e-book were suitable for the target age group simple wording is used and tone of voice in narration was suitable.
