I noticed that it was written in more of a southern accent. This is important because  it shows the setting which can help us understand the story, the characters, and the overall plot.

This makes the book a lot easier to understand because its giving specific details. For example Just reading know the author used the terms " The first Inch was the hardest. The longest Inch of the universe. The Inch that stretched a thousand miles." She hasn't spoken any words in a very long time. She's all alone in the middle of no where, in the middle of an "alien invasion". She must wonder at some points even if there is anymore human left out there, all alone and scared like her. The haven't been killed, or brainwashed. But even if she was the last human left on earth and she just happened ti die that would be it.
